Are you okay with the lighthouse?
Simple poll. I'm seeing a lot of controversy over this subject and I want to know the general consensus.
[spoiler]I said Nah. I just think a new planet is [i]kinda[/i] pushing it.[/spoiler]
Edit: It seems the consensus is "Yes they deserve it".
[spoiler]I still say "Nah" because I just found out that they also get the only cutscene added in HoW...[/spoiler]
Edit 2: Yes I get that I need to practice. Please stop telling me.
Edit 3: Ok. Seems the cutscene is a short one. That's not my problem with it. My problem is that it's the only one added.
Edit 4: I heard they get a grimoire card too. So now I'm excluded from some background lore because I'm bad at PvP?

I think it's a cool idea. I'm sad I'll never get to see it though... Already terrible at PVP and being very newly married, any potential practice time to up my skills for Trials seems to be mysteriously evaporating...

Trials has gotten me way more into Destiny PVP than before. I went flawless and it was a ton of fun. I preferred the burning shrine to pantheon though.

3 RepliesThis Bungie just trying to force PVP onto the player base. PVE players (the majority of player according to bungies own stats) dont get an exotic shader, an exotic sparrow, an exotic emblem, or an eclusive area. Bungie needs to start listening to the majority of the player base and stop trying to force PVP down people's throats. Especially when their servers are so garbage.

Couldn't care less Just re skinned gear that you can't even re roll Worse than vendor gear and with all the lag switchers/net work manipulation / abuse of thorn/myth/tlw Gonna spend my time doing something fun

I think it is a great addition to the game. However, its existence seems to encourage more use of certain tactics that make people shy away from crucible.

If they had a special place for PVE elitests like a planet for players who have completed VOG Hard flawless then I wouldn't give two shits but they are clearly catering to the PvP crowd with the latest DLC. They get the only cut scene, they get a new planet with special gear, they get super easy to attain gear and etheric light. But us PVE'ers get a shit public event style game mode with bosses that can be beat in 30 seconds and keys that's are all but impossible to obtain but needed to attain end game gear. Not a fan of this DLC overall it's a joke.

First let me say that I don't really care either way. Now let me enlighten you that your results will be skewed because mostly only the pvp guys come here to whine when they are killed by a gun they don't like. The pve guys are too busy enjoying the game despite it being ruined constantly by the pvp weapon maiming.

13 RepliesI'm a slightly above average Crucible player, but I've been surprised at how bad I've had my ass handed to me in Trials so far. I'll probably never see the Lighthouse, but I like the idea that really great players can get some additional rewards.

I like the fact that they put it in, I'm just struggling to come to terms with the fact that I'll most likely never see it. Trials is brutal.

I would love to go to the lighthouse but I know I'll never make it there and I'm OK with it. But I would like them to add mercury as a new destination.

You don't have to be "elite" to get there. I made it there and I honestly kinda suck at PvP.

1 ReplyI'll never get to the Lighthouse, and I'm ok with it. I suck at PvP. There should be some things I don't get. I've never understood how some of the best players in the game, people who have been around since Beta, can't get things like Gjallarhorn because they're subject to the same RNG as those of us who haven't played nearly as much.

1 ReplyI voted nah only because of the way it is. Going undefeated should give you a passage to an undefeated only lobby, which winning will grant access to the lighthouse. There is a lot of undeserving visitors at the lighthouse this week. Lots of bad players trying out new content this week.

1 ReplyOf course pvp elitests are ok with it because they can get good loot from it, but what about the casual players they are completely excluded since pvp isnt their entire life. There should be ways for the casuals to get through trials to the lighthouse without needing 9 and 0. I witnessed first hand what it feels like to have a whole fireteam of three skip around the burning shrine with shotguns. Its not fun. My own opinion and anyone who thinks I care what you think about it can piss off.

It's big rewards for a big heart pounding effort. Many made it there the first week, but I doubt it will be as easy in the oncoming weeks as the Noobs stop playing it. The teams I played in ToS were mostly made of up noobs who didn't play as a team. I faced maybe 5 good teams out of 25 matches Lost twice
