Let us reminisce to the good ol days of destiny.
When you loot caved because you wanted to.
When VoG was the best experience to share with your friends.
When being level thirty was a big deal and actually took a lot of work to reach max level.
To when receiving the vex was a truly earned trophy
To a time where the suros kicked our asses but other exotics were actually exotics and crucible actually had some diversity to it
What's your favorite memories from when destiny wasn't this babied to game that all these players whine until they get what they want.
Edit 1: btw I do still play, just obviously my game time has been cut down a lot
Edit 2: it's nice to see all these people still playing but definitely leave a memory from way back when you started!

I started in october of last year and I play nearly every day.
-
I was a forever 29 till IB had the boots I needed.
-
I remember me and my raid team trying g to enter at level 26xD and we had 1 level 28 and we thought of him As our best player lol.
-
2 RepliesDay 2 for me. The struggle was real. Taking a break at the moment. Just got burnt out from the grind.
-
4 RepliesThat forever level 26-29 struggle.
-
When it didn't matter if you did VoG hard as a 29, and that's all most groups consisted of.
-
I started in October and still play.
-
I remember the days when Vault first came out me and my raid team trying to find ways to open the vault lol We ran around in circles trying to cap each point lol Other then that dismantle Queen Wrath gear for shards and energy before the patch

Edited by ThyLordIntrovert: 4/27/2015 6:02:16 PMBeta player here Remember when PI was actually useful?
-
3 RepliesStill here, still enjoying the game. Only game I really play.
-
Yep. Got Destiny for free with my Xbox One the day it came out.
-
I miss when being a 30 actually meant something. You put your blood sweat and tears in to grinding VOG every week just for one simple helmet. Hitting the max rank shouldn't be as easy as it is today.
-
Beta player here. Still play quite a bit due to the fact that I am a clan leader and I am constantly helping clanmates.
-
Yes, yes we are.
-
Waiting anxiously to hear the news of the first Fireteam to crack the vault, grinding and grinding vog to get to 30, when you were shocked to see primaries with elemental modifiers, that one guy on your friends list with G-horn, being that one guy on you friends list with IceBreaker, when level 26+ still new how to run Vog when most 32s barely handle it now, when the warlock vanguard gear wasn't missing half the trench coat, queens wrath!, turning in mats to Xur, BEFORE THE FORUMS WHERE FILLED WITH COMPLAINERS, before just about everyone you raided with was a squeaker. God it's been a long journey with this game.

I present my titan's Queen's Guard hip rag as proof...I actually liked the event, glad that I will see it return, in one form or another
-
I've been here since day one of the Xbox beta. And I've been hype since the day one of the game's announcement.
-
2 RepliesMe too. I remember trying to kill that A Hole lvl 7 vandal in the public event and I remember how it was completely impossible. I thought I sucked! Lol
-
1 ReplyHere since the BETA. Remember when the game first launched and all the way up to December if you didn't use an Assault Rifle then you were booted from everything and the Crucible was AR galore? When Vex was a monster of a weapon, second to none? When having a thorn was equal to god status and surpassed being a level 30? When all your purple engrams turned blue? When the people with Gjallarhorn were considered myths until you found the unicorn at the end of the rainbow? When Patrol missions were packed with people playing? When doing a nightfall was only for the top 25% of players because they didn't have the appropriate light level? Good times.

1 ReplyI bought the game a day or two after it came out. You wouldn't be able to tell by looking at my hours played (I also deleted my very first character because he looked terrible but that was months before we could wear helmets in the tower). I still have Halloween stuff from that first October in my vault.
-
Hey. Roight heur. How ya derin?
-
I'm still here I remember suros...
-
Beta tester and day one player here.. 3 32's all exotics and still grinding away like a dick
-
Doing strikes used to give you an incredible amount of engrams. I'd go with only one weapon/armor in each class and by the end of it, i had filled up my inventory slots entirely. It was so easy to rank up the cryptarch, but he gave you shitty guns and armor in return. Glad they changed this. Only thing I do miss though is the auto rifles actually being good. Other then that this game is great.

I remember playing the beta and seeing that there was a slot for another subclass and trying my hardest to get to level 10 thinking it would unlock lol and seeing the hive for the first time and being freaked out unlike now where it's like oh yay thrall
