After the Iron Banner
Am I the only person who is broke as s*** right now? I got all my gear from the Iron Banner after reaching level 4 today. I was left with 140 glimmer, (my first time ever.) I hardly ever use glimmer, but I need it to upgrade gear. Unfortunately, I have a hectic week because of school (college) and wont be able to farm glimmer until the end of this week.....

I bought 4 Jolder's hammer and re-rolled 3 of them, still got over 10k glimmer XD. Items for extra glimmer help a lot.

Personally I like to do The Dark Beyond farm with the black wax idols. WE'VE AWOKEN THE HIVE over and over is frustrating but it gets you the glimmer you need fast, just don't kill the knight! Let them kill you and you respawn at the gates opening sequence. It's best with bad juju, no reloads :)

I noticed a couple omnigul bounties from eris recently. I know everyone hates that strike but it's not hard. 5k xp when I turn it in (have nothing to max right now) and I pop ether seeds and black wax idols when I do it. I think you get 4k glimmer each run if you have the consumables active the entire time. Exclusion zone is way too boring for me.

3 RepliesSave those little things that you turn into xur for 200 glimmer. They make it so you can have more than 25k glimmer. Run out of glimmer and just start turning them in.

Had 21000 glimmer going in, blew all that, made a bunch while in there, bought Shader, emblem, JoldersHammer (12'500 went to completing my invective bounty, completing it on night one of IronBanner)

2 RepliesEdited by Countdown2Chaos: 3/25/2015 2:29:38 AMIt's like christmas for guardians.. but it happens once a month and we're all left beaten and bruised with new gear on our backs and empty glimmer reserves. If you participate in each iron banner, and get lucky with drops and such, you're unlikely to keep returning if you already get everything. Though, now bungie has added in IB gear with 36 light instead of 33, and that easily pushes you closer to 32 if you're willing to work your butt off and prefer to suffer in the crucible rather than in crota's moldy basement. Time to get back to the grind again for another month of saving up for the next chance to get your hands on more IB gear next time.

My problem is that I was broke going into IB so even though I'm at rank 4 now which is all I'm interested in reaching cause I don't want that pee shooter auto rifle...I can't buy a damn thing. I did some farming this morning so I'm up to 6000 and change. Tonight, it's glimmer farming to the max and then I'll get the chest and Jolders Hammer. All I'll need now is the helmet... god I want that helmet...

This your first Iron Banner? Oh, I remember those days... You'll end up either farming Exclusion Zone with Supply Codes during IB, or preparing for IB the rest of the month by stashing away cash-in items like House Banners in your vault. Earning Glimmer in the Crucible is a losing prospect.

Exclusion zone man! Should take you no time at all, every time you take a break from your studies run the exclusion zone for 10 minutes.
