Can you think of a game that ever disappointed you more than Destiny has with its freemium/RNG bullshit loot, lack of content, repetitiveness/grindfest, inexcusable bugs, and laughable story?
I can't. I've put a lot of time in, because it was still fun early on to play with friends. But now almost all of us despise this game. And with what's planned for the future, nothing looks like it's going to change.
We all had sky high hopes, bought in to the hype, but this game is pretty terrible. Pretty and controls well, but it's a bad bad game.
Anything else close to this disappointing for you?
EDIT: People love to cite my play time as some kind of argument that the game can't be that disappointing. Here is an answer to that:
Did I have a lot of fun?
Yes - in the beginning. Early progression and playing with friends was fun for a while. The loot slot machine had me addicted as well.
Did I feel my money was well spent?
I'm conflicted here. Clearly I put a lot of time in, so there is some value in that. But I feel like the money I spent sent a very wrong message to Bungievision - that what they did was OK and people will buy anything. That worries me.
Did you put in more hours then most games?
Yes I did.
When new content arrives will I play?
NO WAY IN HELL. I preordered the expansion pass, so I will check out the new raid in HoW. But after that I won't spend another dime on this game unless massive fundamental changes are made.
There's no doubt the universe they created is very compelling, but the execution so far has been so piss poor that I refuse to encourage more of the same by giving them any more money, UNLESS things change in a big way.

Titanfall, thief, the -blam!-ing spartan one, cod aw, assassins creed are by far worse than destiny
-
How many other games have you spent 500 hours playing?
-
Destiny wasn't what I hoped it would be (not by a long shot), but it is still addictive.
-
In my opinion Destiny is good and bad, it's oddly a good game. But it falls short in areas that stopped it being a great game

-
Destiny and The Evil within are my two most hated and disappointing games ever.
-
Not sure if it's "THE" worst! But certainly a poor example other than graphics!
-
Stop complaining and move on then. You are able to solve your problem yourself. Why do you continue to play?
-
I honestly have been losing interest as the weeks go by. There isn't much to strive for and do really anymore. Dying light is super fun in the meantime. We will see what HoW brings if I still play or not

I have accepted the fact that Destiny will never be a space-based multiplayer Skyrim, and is definitely a slightly more complex (raids/upgrades) and space-based Call of Duty. That said, I took a break to play fallout 3 again, and after having it freeze up a couple times in as many hours, not to mention how i (and many others I think) viewed the VATS with rose colored glasses. Which is a shame that destiny isn't a spaced based Skyrim/FO3, cause the quest lines in those game are so much more immersive.

It's up there in the list but I'd say watch dogs, battlefield 4 and advanced warfare are more disappointing.
-
Destiny - the game you love to hate.
