HARD MODE CROTA CHEESE
This literally just happened to me and my team. 8 HOURS WE SPENT TODAY TRYING TO BEAT THIS GUY ALONE AND THIS JUST HAPPENS, if party chat was added you would have heard us all laughing.
@people claiming its edited, you are giving me a good laugh lol.

2 RepliesThis happens to my team on the raid every time we let in one of our friends who plays online via his cell phone. He only gets internet via using his phone as a wifi hotspot so his internet is horrible. We usually start off on the abyss and basically walk all the way to the end because all the thralls and Knights just stand in one spot frozen. He usually loses connection or we find a replacement because it takes forever to walk with weight all the way to the end and we don't want to take that long. Just find someone to use their phone as a wifi hotspot and you too can have immensely unfun lag fest circle jerks.

If it's real and you can't reproduce, just say so. If you can reproduce and just posting this to F with the users, then shame on you. I highly doubt you and your boys are going to explain it, if you were planning on it, you would have done so in your OP. To the rest of us: It's not worth wasting your time trying to re-produce , your time is better off spent doing something else, like run it legit or level up that brand new sniper xur is selling this week :P

FAKE...rocks are still sitting on the ground where crota is standing. you overlayed a video of you beating crota with rewards to a video of you sitting there staring at the map before summoning crota... not even hard to spot that

I think what they did is that they found a way for them to activate Crota without everyone being in the room

Edited by Arkiverge: 1/23/2015 7:24:30 PMThere's actually a spot behind and down to the left of the platform Crota stands on that won't kill you if you go down there. I only noticed it after dying in that vicinity and it put my rez orb down there and someone was able to get down and rez me. I only mention this because of where Crota is looking and then ultimately went to. Perhaps a pathing malfunction that takes place while Crota is trying to attack.

Nothing really stands out in the stats on the raid history on any of the players. A few of the raids had 7 people, (likely one had to go) and only few instances on all the players. Maybe a lowbie was brought in it looks like. (Loot bridge chest?) Raids are spaced hours apart. Looks like 3-4 runs total ( alts ?) It doesn't look like a warlock revive trick either, Theory 1: I don't think it involved disconnecting at all. Looks more like an outside of the map at the start of encounter deal. When outside the map the crystal may not see the players torwards the count required to start. As for the "jump" I believe that the jump lobring does off to the right area and dies is what causes crota to teleport. This happens a lot in the normal fight. As a hunter sword bearer when you are late on a melee hit to blink strike and run. Crota aggros you and follows you. Sometimes you can't "shake or outrun" him in this case and I have seen him teleport to the ground. In a game like this when a teleport occurs there will be net code that lerps the two positions. That death is key and I think the meleeing is key as well. They are likely trying to aggro him. However, this would indicate they knew what they were doing already and wasn't part of the "run". They went looking for a cheese. They had already finished the run a few times prior to the last run registered in their history :)
