95% of Destiny players will not beat HM Crota. Intended Bungie?
Just my personal opinion and speculation... I'm sure more will beat it as time goes on and maybe after some cheeses are more than likely figured out. Do you think that is right by Bungie? Do you think it is intended? Personally I think HM Crota was tuned a little to difficult and will prob turn alot of people away. I can't wait to beat him though...

EDIT: Just to clarify for those that dont read the post or comprehend english. I'm not trolling or whining, I like the raid, I really do, just curious on what Bungie's expected percentage is for completion... Granted 95% might be a slight exaggeration... It will still be a very high number of failures.
EDIT: Kinda cool this turning into a decent discussion, the whining troll posts have slowed down.
EDIT: Last one... I'll stick to my opinion but give maybe a more realistic number of 75% that wont beat HM Crota before HoW.
EDIT: 1 Feb 2015. Shocked this thread is still floating around... Really curious what the percentage is for Hard Mode. Its kinda funny Bungie will tell us and almost brag about how many times Crota went down, but won't tell us what percentage of players actually did it.

Hard mode isn't that bad. It just takes communication. Once people realize this a lot more people will beat it

killed him, got the pistol, huzzar for not needing to bother killing him again! i detest auto rifles, so i have zero interest in the necro exotic. i can just casualy solo the maze and bridge each week for the remaining elemental primary drops till house of wolves lands. (why did they make the pistol only drop off crota, yet all the others drop at every checkpoint)

We did it tonight up to crota, 4, 32's and 2, 31's. Its not impossible. Supposedly a grpup of all 31's made it to crota.

23 RepliesThe raid holds no rewards I want. I have the armor. I don't need primaries with elemental that are only useful in nightfalls (which are already easy). There isn't any incentive to do Crota on hard. The shader looks like crap anyway

Considering 13 million people have played Destiny, I think your closer to the truth with 95 than 75%. Then as you say when we can level up with House of wolves, a lot more people will topple Crota in HM.

3 RepliesThe raids hard no doubt done it 3 times and barley starting to get faster at it.. but I don't like how they made it "Hard" they force us to be a lvl lower with no way to work up to 33 so we have reduced damage and increased damage taken and they only "New" things they added were 2 wizards instead of knights on crota no chalice and a gatekeeper in the bottom area and no respawn.. We waited a month for hard raid and that's all we get.. Love to raid but that's just a let down

Not beat it yet but I will do ! VOG hard was a struggle for me but got it eventually :)

15 RepliesI like that they made it hard by taking the Chalice out, added Gatekeepers and Wizards..... all that is good but I really don't care for us being under-leveled. It feels unbalanced that we are a level below every enemy and so many of them are Majors. Doesn't feel like a skill challenge and it isn't fun... it's not creative in any way. Personally I feel that we should be the same level as the enemies. I love raiding but I'm in it for the fun of strategizing and teamwork. I'm not in it for a fight that is nothing more than us getting our assess kicked by gangs of bullies while our bullets practically bounce off of them. That is not fun.... IMO, the VoG was a good raid... problem solving and team work and we were at the same level as the enemies. Crota is a huge disappointment to me for the sole reason of the level difference. I'm not expecting a cake walk and I like most everything else they did for Hard Mode... except for us being under-leveled. That just comes across as nothing more than complete lack of creativity. "Yeah, we couldn't think of anything else so we'll just make them weaker than the enemies." It may be their intent that only 5% can complete the raid... but they should really consider what would happen if they only had that 5% playing and buying their next game.
