Against yellow bar captain a fusion grenade does roughly 1k damage, roughly 1.5k if you stick them. Now, with the other perks in the column free to use, the one most would go for is the burn damage. Does a WHOPPING.... 22 DoT for about 5 seconds...... so unless youre a warlock who likes to be stuck in the air while you ads, this exotic is completely useless. keeping though, with fingers crossed that itll give a 3rd grenade some day.

7 RepliesOkay, so I've read your 'counter-arguments' with others. Some, states that you're clearly self-righteous, unaccepting and hypocritical. I'm pretty sure I've read a sentence which made me laugh, since it totally contradicted itself. Now, putting MY personal opinion (which you'll probably try to s**t on since it won't agree with yours), I'll start by saying that the Starfire Protocol isn't useless. How? First perk, more ammo for Fusion Rifle. Self-explanatory, VERY useful for those whom favour Fusion Rifles. I'll try to state as best as I can, that people's opinions differ and preferences are different as well, EQUALLY IMPORTANT. Just like how MANY actually finds the Starfire Protocol useful, lol. Continuing on! More heavy ammo you can carry. SEXY perk, even a dumb, irrational and thoughtless idiot would know that it's a very useful perk. And the KEY perk, a second Fusion Grenade... F***ing, sexy. PvP; It MAGNETISES towards enemies, and even one-hit kills them. Tired of waiting? BOOM, another one in your pocket. And it's actually incredibly easy to stick these grenades to enemies in the Crucible. Because of already having two, a valid option is to use Touch of Flame with Viking Funeral, as the explosions can damage enemies SURROUNDING an enemy with a stuck fusion grenade, so even better! It's like an upgrade. Definitely useful and effective. Again, very useful and can really hit players who don't expect a second one, like a free kill. Awesome. Deadly with Radiance! PvE; Well hey, it stops enemies from rushing to you. Already, good factor of perk, INCREDIBLY USEFUL against the Lightswitch modifier. Or just in general! It stops enemies from doing anything if you stick onto them! Which also magnetises towards them, too. Fusion grenade's also hard-hitting, like a f***ing TRAIN. One's not enough, and can't wait for the second one to load? BAM. Immediately, already have a second one. Again, and again, so useful. The damage two fusion grenades can do (which can be accomplished within' 4 seconds MAX) is amazing. Obviously, you can attain similar damage but FAR longer with Primaries/Secondaries even. It's like instead of shooting at the same target for a minute (60 seconds), that same amount of damage can be applied with one fusion grenade in 2 seconds. Now, A SECOND ONE. HELL YEAH. The main point why I'm making a damn novel about this; is because you seem so inconsiderate, self-righteous/self-centred, irrational and unaccepting. Others have made non-offensive points, supported points, yet you became so butthurt over it due to being so defensive. And my last point; PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT PREFERENCES. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT - IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT EVERYONE SHOULDN'T EITHER. I don't want to seem too cocky, but do humour me with your 'counter-argument'.

Edited by Key and Mouseboard: 1/6/2015 4:21:27 AMUse touch of flame and Viking funeral instead of angel of light And raid gloves give chance of orb on grenade kill. Your team will love you, swordbearer especially. I know you could just use gift of the sun, but touch of flame and Viking funeral make it more versatile

Heart of Praxic Fire.

2 RepliesThink about it like this tho: Its basically Gift of the Sun already active allowing you to select Touch of flame to help stack DoT damage AND when paired with Viking Funeral your Dot gets nuts really quickly.
-
Really cool name though
-
1 ReplyDon't knock Angel of Light too much - in the right situation it can be extremely useful. Especially in PvP when people don't expect it!

Edited by Gilrodah (TIMELOST): 1/5/2015 11:43:45 PMIf it gave an extra solar grenade I would've bought it
-
2 RepliesYou are right in that it isnt very good. Mainly the real reason though is because fusion nades are easily the worst for burn damage as they have the smallest and least reliable aoe. If SFP just gave you an extra nade like the perk in sunsinger did, it would be a great exotic. Because it shoehorns you into using fusion grenades, it kinda sucks.

Dude, my fusion grenades do over 6000 damage to Atheon without times vengeance on.

7 RepliesIt is not useless. It is just situational. I run with all the exotic armors and regularly switch subs and apparel depending on the needs. Fusion grenades help rapidly take down majors and ultras who have a tendency to cause trouble. Two fusion grenades Plus Touch of flame and Viking funeral would be very potent. I can see situations where it would be very useful and situations where it would be no use at all. It has it uses. It is not useless.

3 RepliesIt helped my wife get to level 28 so she can run Roc strikes with me. Not useless just because you don't use it...

1 ReplyThe burning keeps shields from recharging. Get gud
