http://destinytracker.com/destiny/population
There's some numbers. Out of the general population, hunters have higher kdrs and there's more of them in the top percentage.
Is there a problem with hunters, specifically gunslingers?
personally, i feel that gunslingers ult is too powerful for little skill requirement, and that it needs a nerf. i think it should do 150 body shot dmg with the headshot multiplier being 2.0. that will let headshots always be an instant kill, unless the player has damage reduction. in that situation 1 headshot and a body shot would kill them, or 3 bodyshots.
"thats wrong. im not asking to remove the super, either.
im saying it needs to take more skill.
a headshot = insta
bodyshot takes 2
150 or 175 dmg with 2.0 crit multiplier for when using against damage reduction.
read, people.
gg does 350 dmg"
edit: you guys keep saying nerf the other ults, but we're not seeing a 10% difference in use for top players and a .10+ difference in kd across the entire population for the other classes.
edit: there was some really good posts in here. for and against making changes.
the rest is complete garbage. i've mostly given up on responding to you people, just post your bad kdrs (theres a correlation somewhere) and leave onto the next one.

Dude. If gg didn't one shot then it'd be just a sniper. Scrub
-
Guy has a hunter lvl 3. Lvl up the class, l2p, or gtfo. Otherwise your opinion is complete bullshit.
-
The difference between the Hunter and everything else is pretty astounding.
-
There's definitely a lot of Hunters in the crucible. That's for sure.
-
Really?!?!
a nova, and fist of havoc can one shot you there's no running if there supering Hunters super can be avoided and killed easily. So no the hunters super is weaker to others in pvp and should never be nerfed Titan and unstoppable with that makes it to were well unstoppable only lots of heavy amo will end you and requires no skill to uses Pvp warlocks sunsinger is spam nads and hope no real skill void walker same there nads are good melee is extremely strong and super is almost up avoidable Hunters super you are very weak GG and BD are weak BD I literally can kill if I see it coming sniper one shots to the head and a shotgun or fusion rifles kill you fast GG if theres more then one guy shooting you your dead
-
it's not OP. I play as a lock and I can take out a whole team at once with my super and bloom. Every class has some "OP" move that someone on the receiving end will complain about.
-
not a good idea. that 10% difference is not a big deal. not everything has to equal each other for PVP to be balanced. someone or one class will come out on top.
-
The gunslinger super is the only one that's balanced correctly. Unlike the others, it requires skill to land while leaving you vulnerable. Good risk reward ratio. If all the supers were balanced in this way, Destiny pvp would be a better place.
-
What it has in damage it lacks in the department where if you die while activating or using you loose it unlike boidwalker or striker...same thing with blade dancer, they have a chance at usually the same but possibly more kills but one shot so you better not f*ck up.
-
You guys always wonder why theres so many hunters in crucible... But you seem yo forget that "hunters are useless in the raid" and "worst subclasses for raid." So they all go to the crucible where they don't deal with the people who complain
-
I have played each class and subclass in PvP, from what I gathered each time my attitude towards the other classes changed, went a little like this. As a Hunter: I hate fist of panic, wtf is with that warlock melee range?! As a Titan: Damn bubble-poppin panic bombs, there was a tripmine nade there?! As a Warlock: freakin shoulder charge scrubs, NOT THE BLADAN----dies. all other supers and skills feel OP from the other points of view, its weird really, everything is so OP that its balanced. On a side note sniper rifle headshots OHK gunslinger but nothing else, meaning they don't have a damage reduction, just go to cosmodrome and practice hitting things, problem solved bud.

2 RepliesFunny how Hunters we bashed the most and wanted least during game release
-
Titan and warlock supers and wipe a team. Golden gun cannot. They're all op there should not be a nerf to any of them
-
2 RepliesI'm excited for none of these stats to change when the inferno playlist comes out and people will stop crying nerf. A lot of people just flicked to hunters Cuz they look cool. That's why I picked them. I personally prefer a titan in PvP now, but I'm way more familiar with a hunter.

I will now play you the worlds saddest song played on the worlds smallest violin. * rubs index finger and thumb together*

So a Super that is a one-shot kill is far too overpowered, but shotgun and fusion rifles that are one-shot kill are perfectly fine? Remind me which one has ammo strewn all over the map and which one takes time to charge.
-
So let me get this straight. You think that for any basic Hunter without the Exotic Helmet which gives you an extra golden gun shot should have to use their whole super on one guy if they can't aim decently while Warlocks and Titans can just Super around a group and get a triple kill? Even just a double kill? This way, any basic Hunter in the crucible wouldn't be able to win a 1v2 with their Super activated unless one of the enemies is already half dead. You would be recommending that the Gunslinger Super should become almost useless.
-
2 RepliesGolden Gun is pretty lackluster because you don't get damage resistance like all the other supers. You also can't panic kill four people like you can with the fist of havoc / nova bomb and you also have to actually aim. In the hands of a really good players, it's probably a very effective super because you can pick off three or four people who aren't close together, whereas killing a group of people with the fist of havoc / nova bomb is contingent on them being grouped fairly close together. Mediocre players are probably better off with the fist of havoc / nova bomb/ blade dancer. I say this as a mediocre player who has countless times activated my Golden Gun and then been shotgunned in the back immediately, or activated my Golden Gun and missed three shots in quick succession. Probably what makes the Gunslinger so dangerous in the hands of a great player is the Chain of Woe. A great player who is running around most of the time with a gun with near perfect stability is going to win a lot of gun fights even against other great players. So I don't think Gunslinger should be nerfed because its the most dangerous class when used by the best players. I think most of the player base would probably do better with the nova bomb / fist of havoc / blade dancer.

Nerf the hunter super? HA! A Titan mid super can survive a direct hit from a RL. This happened to me before. Shot a Titan mid super with maxed Hezen Vengeance and they survived a direct hit from it.
-
2 RepliesI agree with the earlier poster that MLG Pros are drawn to the Hunter. Here's another fascinating stat: of the Destinytracker's tracked gamers, only 53% have completed the Vault of Glass. We know from the PS4 trophy percentages that only 15% of players overall have completed the Vault of Glass. The Vault of Glass isn't popular.
-
Hunter supers will give you the most kills/super over the long run. Simple as that.
-
1 ReplyI can agree with this if you give the gunslinger 50% damage reduction, 50% better accuracy, double the ammo, and zero activation time. Maybe add a perk that let's you activate it beyond the grave?
-
7 RepliesWhat is the point of making a "super" that isn't an insta kill this doesn't make sense
-
3 RepliesOh who cares? Build a hunter then! I get titan smashed in crucible a LOT more than I get golden gunned.
-
1 ReplySomeone must have gotten butthurt by a lot of hunters today, so him had to come and cry on the forums? Poor little baby, let us get you a bottle and a blankie and make him all better.
-
7 RepliesTitan smash requires more skill than gg? What? If I can only get 3 kills max (unless symbioted) and have to aim? What? I can be killed just like if I was NOT supered, but titan have basically invulnerability until there super is done? What? At least warlocks have to aim and have the chance of killing themselves. Warlocks have a bad chance of selfrevive in the midst of an opposing fireteam. Titans are cool and so are warlocks and I love all classes, but serious with this thread? You have to be a troll...
