Crota Fight Not Dropping Proper Loot?
Just finished running the raid and had only 2 shards drop. If someone knows if this is a proper drop or a bugged drop that would be great. Thanks for those who have any info. I have also checked the postmaster and there is no items being held there.
If others are experiencing this just post here.
Edit: Just re-ran on another character. I only got 2 energies. Do not know what is going on. Not getting any weapons or armor is very disappointing.

12 RepliesI think the first time you beat him you get the shader and emblem materials and a weapon. I have seen recently that the second play through is only giving shards/energies. Can anyone confirm your second set of loot for the the same character. If you did not beat Crota last week do not post your rewards as I feel this part of the way Bungie described the "FUN" drops.

First time you beat Crota you're guaranteed a weapon drop. Every time after the first you get the standard RNG rubbish which most likely will result in just two material.

That happened to me last week. Killed him twice and got 2 energies each time lol. This week energy's/helmet and shards/machine gun. Guess its just luck of the drop... Who knows

Seems to only have happened since they put the helm in the rotation, never heard/saw it happen before that but have a lot since, so it's either intentional and complete idiocy or a bug.

I've gotten only 2 shards from crota on 2 of my 6 completions

6 raids in a row now and I have not received anything from Crota other than materials. Also Bungie's "smarter" loot system has only ever dropped my Titan raid gear arms every single raid. Doesn't seem so smart to me.

I got a Raid armor piece, 2x Shards, 2x emblem, 2x shader, Black Hammer, and SwordBreaker. All of that out of two Crota raids.

Same Titan and warlock got shard/energy but second Titan got the fusion and suros which I scraped.

The loot system is designed for trading (RNG, random class engrams, only one exotic). Destiny was originally going to have trading as clear from the vidocs and e3 shows but they cut it for some reason.

You are not guaranteed weapon or armor from any drop in the raid. This is nothing new.

Yeah same here, since I ran it the first time on each character I've only had shards/energies from beating him

They did this because of ppl cheesing. You are guaranteed a weapon shader emblem first completion. After that its up to rng. Small helm chance. Big shard chance. Small weapon chances. Due to the crota cheese in my opinion. Ur welcome.
