Not for the first time I've just finished a Vanguard Tiger strike with some absolute cnt who will stand and wait for the other 2 of us to clear each section, then follow along afterwards and wait outside the next section til we clear it. The strike took about 25 minutes when it would have taken 10 or less with the 3 of us playing properly. So what's the point? What benefit is there? It's a false economy, drawing a strike out so that you don't have to put any effort it. It's the action of a retard.
I just stood there for 30 seconds punching him and shooting him with The Vex Mythoclast once the boss died. He was dancing, so he clearly knew how much of a nob he was being and reveled in it.
All I can think is that they are doing it to easily earn the 'Finish a srike without dying bounty'
Well i just got that bounty with just the two of us. So if you suck that much that you can't get it without inacivity throughout the whole strike then you don't deserve to play. Infact you deserve to die, for being so shite at a game. fking Amateurs.
Hope they never put matchmaking on the Raid and I hope they remove matchmaking from everything except the multi.
Having said that, doing it all via Destiny LFG the same thing can happen. The other day I was in a Raid and somebody quit a team of level 30's after the first chest. There is too much focus on Co op. Bungie, get to work on some AI bots. This is the issue that'll eventually stop me playing if it's not sorted.

Edited by LetzGoBrandun: 12/8/2014 4:14:45 PMSummon your sparrow . Align said sparrow with AFK'er guy, get off sparrow, shoot sparrow with fusion rifle, watch sparrow launch into AFK'er. The end
-
Run them over with your sparrow till they splatter, that would stop then from getting strike without dying lol
-
3 RepliesSimple fix....to finish bounty you must put damage on the boss they already have this in place for assassination bounties just implement it in strike bounties
-
I am going to be honest here for all folks regarding bad juju or even "complete strike without dying". IT IS NOT HARD. Use google, take it slow. I did 3 of these frigging bounties on each character without dying. It isn't hard or even challenging. I had an AFK'er in my strike the other day and me and the other guy finished it without dying once. This is just absurd and a burden on players because for some this can make it difficult to fill their own bounty. I mean seriously people? Don't be pussies be brave... Kill that shit, kick them in the throat, tea bag that -blam!-er and show them you are legend and don't be a coward. If this is your way to play the game then you should go trade it in or just do strikes with friends that if you do die... You can just rejoin quickly and still get the bounty (when the boss is nearly dead). I hope bungie does implement something so I can kick moochers off my team when they do this crap... The guy that was AFK didn't get his bounty... I war war slapped his ass into a colossus and he died and well we didn't revive him on purpose. Serves you right....

5 RepliesI once had both the people they matched me with start farming as soon as the strike started. I cleared the 1st room then went back to them and there they were farming. How much of a douche do you have to be to do that? Why even join a strike if you're going to farm? Trolling is getting worse and worse and there's nothing you can do in destiny other than quit and reload. The gaming community is going to shit.

One funny time on the (Tiger) Earth strike, this kid just sat in the room before you get to Sepiks Prime. He did nothing but stand there while we took the baddies on. If you don't know, standing there spawns a Captain and dregs in there with you. He died. I revived him every single time. His stats will have been taking a dent :D Anyway, we were pissed at him, but at the end, we spotted that he had no kills throughout the whole thing. His prize? Nothing. Nothing whatsoever. Karma, bitches

2 RepliesThat or both players leaving at the beginning of a strike never to be replaced...so much for matchmaking
-
Solution... A Veto System to kick stander's. Another solution... Kick the Bounty.
-
Or it happens when the boss is half health which is fine but frustrating
-
1 ReplyOr the asshole that quits as soon as he dies, usually in the beginning trying to be a show off.
-
3 RepliesI felt so bad. I was playing destiny while working an overnight the other night, and I was dozing off during strikes and I felt like a jerk cuz they must have thought I was afk... People need to have the power to boot someone from the fireteam.
-
10 RepliesThis would be easily solved by removing the "complete any strike without dying" bounty
-
4 RepliesJust hop on your sparrow in the beginning and Ram the bitch into a wall or off a cliff...if he's there for the bounty he will leave shortly lol...but it still shouldn't take two of you 25 min to run any strike...one extra person won't cut off 15 min lol.

Edited by cuzzybubba1: 12/8/2014 3:22:57 PMThis confuses me because you will get promptly booted from Crucible for AFC but Strikes just let people be useless. I just report them and move on but it's curious as to why this isn't addressed more seriously as it's annoying as -blam!-.
-
I just think cool. Challenge accepted. Apart from it being a bit harder, but still not hard, it does not effect me. If anything it makes things interesting. If you see it as work you're missing the point.
-
1 ReplyAbsolutely give us a kick option for "tards" that run ahead and leave his other 2team mates ,don't revive or help get kills or go afk . When I run into this I report them . That's why it's there .thats why I'll run with people I know in 3s instead
-
Joined a tiger strike with my Gf the other day, level 21(or 22) I forget just happily stands at the start, we just leave.
-
Yeah you can report them. I always do. I am so damn tired of all folks on strikes. I am ok if it happens once midway. Chalk that up to something coming. But if the go afk at the beginning or more than once or do not contribute I report them. D bag players just puss me off.
-
1 ReplyI don't have a problem doing a lvl 24 strike solo or 2 man there easy but what I hate is when there afk I beat the strike do all the work and at the end they be getting some BS legendary or exotic
-
I've never done the afk strike. Every time I do a strike I know exactly who is where and what enemies show up when so it's not difficult to keep from dying. If you have to afk simply to earn that bounty then you haven't earned it plus you're a douche
-
Blame bungie for the complete a strike without dying bounty.
-
16 Repliesvote to kick option
-
The problem is you are running Tiger Strikes.
-
1 ReplyI used to never run into this. All of a sudden in the last week it is happening to me constantly.
-
Me and my chum had exactly that. It's so annoying, so we now have a solution. Mars Strike. Standing at the top of the hill. We both go down into the place with the tanks and wipe everything out, big bot style. The 3rd guy is just standing on the hill. OK, he might be having a weewee or making a cup of tea, so we wait. He goes in his pause menu. He must be back. He comes out of pause menu but doesn't move. We sit in the doorway looking at him - we aint going anywhere. He finally comes down and joins us. OK, benefit of the doubt, he might have been scratching his balls or on the phone or whatever. We all go through into the next area. He stays in the corridor. We start clearing it out and then realise. So we go and sit down in a safe spot. He finally comes in and helps. He continues to do this so we continue to do nothing until he joins in. At Valus T'aurc, he hid and did nothing. So when we noticed, we did the exact same thing until he realised T'aurc's health wasn't going down and he began to shoot. I know they'll always give in before I do. It's not on. If you join a strike, get through it, don't just make the others carry you.

I like the bots idea, and why couldn't they do it? You can choose to do matchmaking or solo, and the solo you can have bots or by yourself. Awesome.
