Unfortunately there are too many girls who game for the wrong reasons. The ones who have nothing but guy friends because they want to be the only girl around. That means they get all the attention. So when another girl comes into their "world" they get all bent out of shape because now they have to compete for that attention. That seems to be a popular craving for some girl gamers. And there's my favorite! The streamers! Some of the girls who stream on twitch make a grand impression on their viewers by showing up with way too much makeup and boobs out displayed for all the world to see. As a girl gamer I am absolutely offended! I have been gaming for twelve years and have never expected anyone male or female to give me special treatment because I'm simply a girl. I just want to play the game and be accepted as a gamer. I don't want the gamer chick or gamer girl label. That label has been worn out and made into something that it should have never been. I play games because I enjoy it. That should be the only reason girls play video games. Period. So girls, if you're spamming the forums looking for "friends" to play with and announcing to the entire world that you're a girl gamer you're basically putting a big target on top of that head of yours. You want attention, well you're gonna get it. But wait, as soon as you come across some guy who flirts with you, you post it on the forums claiming sexual harassment and demanding something should be done by DeeJ. Seeiously? Stop playing the victim card. Some of you are just as guilty. Girls stop playing mind games with guys online. Leading them on and then flipping on them. Respect yourself and eventually people will respect you. Respect is earned, never faked. And guys.....oh goodness. You ever wonder why girls never want to play with you? Here's exactly why. Most of us girls have encountered real douche bags online who have made us super uncomfortable. They made some nasty comments or harassed the hell out of us while raiding, meanwhile we're just trying to get our drops so we can bomb out as soon as we can. Only to find out that afterwards we get blown up with messages and invites until we hit that block button. Thank God for the block button right ladies? We are not incapable of avoiding someone who makes us uncomfortable. Guys, you have to understand that although it may seem sexist and I'm not saying some girls on here aren't, but can you blame some of us? We don't know you. We don't know how you will act when you hear our girly voices come through that mic. Unfortunately some of you are being blamed for the things that the inconsiderate population of male gamers have done to female gamers. Try not to take it to personal. Instead strive to be that guy who tells that other guy to shut up. Trust me, she will appreciate you for it. And this may some cliché but many of us serious gaming females out there do experience sexism. Just today I experienced this while I did a few raids with randoms. Even though I was one of the higher level players, because I am a girl my opinion doesn't count. I was talked down upon like I was not good enough to make any calls or perform as well as a male player. This is a unfortunate case, not as common but it does happen. Yet another reason why girls may not wish to play with you. So guys and girls. Keep this all in mind. Respect each other and yourselves and let's make gaming with each other a more pleasant place for both parties involved!!!

Usually female gamers who use mics get confused for children if they have a slightly higher voice, then are squeaker and -blam!- etc. Also the hordes of friend requests for just being a female.

From experience, I think most girls on xbox are complete fake assholes and I could only find them on call of duty. On the other hand, all the girls I've met on PS4 are either nice or don't talk at all.

I don't know who you're hanging out with but I don't fine myself exceedingly annoying or mean per say. Granted I don't talk to a lot of people on Xbox 360, but most say I'm pretty nice ^_^. And I'd much rather play with my own gender than guys. Just a preference, because I don't meet very nice guys(I mean perverted, which isn't mean I guess. They get blocked shortly after.) And I feel kind of biased so I'm sorry if any males take offense :(

Usually on cod is where you find the cool girls. They dont play often but they are pretty chill. I'm very respectful over the mic and make friends with anyone. i always treat women with respect. I treat them as I would want my daughter to be treated. Or else ill have to beat up some dudes. They dont want that

I was playing Day Z the other day and a group of guys surrounded me chanting "giiiirl" and attempted to make my character strip and have "sex" with a hostage of theirs. Needless to say I felt very uncomfortable. This is why I only go on mic with my friends on console.

Had one experience with a girl gamer. They were having trouble with the jumps down to the exotic chest in VoG. I laughed a little because what else do you do after 5 mins of waiting. My god the passive aggressiveness came out and just ruined the environment for everyone. I know not every girl is like that but I haven't met any male gamers that flip out because they can't make a jump and people are getting tired of waiting.

I've had only good experiences with girl gamers. Nice, normal, whatever.
