Bungie added the medalliions to deter people from quitting when the game looks hopeless. You only get those if you stay to the end. I don't know about you, but winning a game by forfeit is no fun, and takes longer to do bounties.

You dont get a medalion when you join a already losing team. So bungie should fix that because i leave right away when i get put into matches like that.

Yeah, I've noticed that, and while it's still crappy, at least you only lose a few minutes of time, instead of a whole matches worth for nothing.
