PVP during free roam?
Here me out on this...
There are 3 factions, Dead Orbit, Future War Clan, and New Monarchy.
Now, the explaining part...
While having your faction cloak, wristband, or Titan mark equipped you are "marked" for PVP during free roam. Other guardians from opposing factions can engage you in combat. [b]If you are not wearing a faction mark, you cannot be engaged in PVP during free roam.
[/b] I feel like I needed to bold that.
Edit: if you do not want to be attacked during free roam, do not equip a faction mark. If you want faction rep, you run the risk of being attacked during free roam or an opt out/in option (thx [b]pyro 509[/b])
Why do this?
I think it'll give more reason to join a faction then just for the gear. faction players will band together during free roam adding another layer to the game. Battles between factions can occur at any moment during free roam and you can either join or just watch the mayhem.
Add another layer and you could even have leaderboards on who the best factions are.
Just a though and prob would need to be fleshed out more.
What would you add or change?

1 ReplyAs long as their is a certain area in the patrol mission that we can do pvp then hell ya I'm down to do that but if I can get shot by a friendly fireteam while on a life or death mission not cool

Otherwise, certainly not. I finally quit UO after years of putting up with PKs. I have no intention of participating in another if I can have a vote on it.

5 RepliesI would say no, at least for now, and if you do it needs to be a map option so you aren't forced into it. The reason not yet is we are all on the same side, the crucible matches are war games. If we were fighting with the other enemies around it just wouldn't make sense to me. But if the story were to progress in a way made sense then maybe, as long as i can opt out.

That would be awesome! The people who dont want to get killed while during free roam dont have to equip a faction armor so no one can kill you.
