Crank Up the Open Wold Events Please
Unless it's just bad timing on my part, it seems the open world events are almost nonexistent. I've only seen one actually kick off and had another start but never actually hit the ground ... the ship showed up and just took off without ever starting. Please consider reducing the startup timer on these things (if they are timer based). If they're not timer based disregard as we all figure out what triggers them.

They must have patched it already. Day one I saw one that I didn't participate in. Day two I saw two. Day three I saw none. Day four I saw about a dozen and completed the bounty and the achievement in one sitting. They've patched it.

Agreed! I abandoned the 3 gold tier events bounty because I have seen many. I'm level 24 and I've seen 3 total. One I waited on for 20mins and another one was at the very end of it when I came across it. I've encountered 1 truly random event this whole time.

I've seen around 4 in Russia. But none on the Moon or Venus so far. :(

In their latest post it hints that there will be more events happening probably starting this weekend.

Yeah I've only seen 3 public events thus far, all on Venus. The first one I was actually able to join and complete with the players near me, but the second one I must have found too late or something because I didn't get anything for participating in it. Not even a tier notification. And I know the second was a public event because of the sheer amount of enemies that were coming and the fireteam I came across fighting them.

This is old news, but if you read the recent bungie update DeeJ said they're going to beef up the public events.

I think I've seen two on Earth. I must have spent a good three hours in exploration. I was on Venus for about an hour and two started. They were the same one, though. A higher frequency would be nice, but maybe this is intentional.

3 Repliesi noticed that with events they do happen regularly every hour and half hour the problem is that if there arent enough people around or just one person an event will not trigger i guess when they said public they really mean public... as in more than one :( as a level 20 im sad it doesnt trigger id like to try to solo it

Pretty sure they are glitched. I got the game at the midnight launch so I got to play before the first patch and I was seeing TONS of events. Following the patch have seen only one. Me and friend spent over an hour in Russia looking for one we even were smart and split up to cover more than one zone at once. Didn't see a single one.

Ya just bad timing. Ive hade to do at least three all alone. And oh boy let me tell you: [u][i]dont. Go it. Alone!![/i][/u] Because oohh boy! It is a pain in the [i]ASS[/i] to get it done!! XD

5 RepliesI'm only a level 6 warlock and I ran into a level 9 hunter on patrol in the cosmodrome when the spider tank dropped (it was my first open world event). I'm like, really!? 2 low level players can trigger an event?

I finally encountered my first today I was on Venus doing patrol missions and one popped on top of me and I was able to complete it myself so I was pretty happy but the rest of the day I didn't see one. I hope they patch it so they drop regularly and in specific zones on the planets.

I agree iv only seen 1 and I walked in as it was ending. The player who was there could only bronze it. I'm lv 20, I think there should be a better way to find them.

I agree increase the World events and make them similar to other games like in Guild Wars and FFXIV..This will really make the game a lot more fun.
