Hand Cannon is Getting Buffed
Eric Osborn was just live with IGN from Gamescom and confirmed that the Hand Cannon (and Pulse Rifle, but who cares) are getting a buff. He said they weren't as powerful as they want, and that people were too drawn to the auto rifle, so they are getting a buff.
I am pretty excited, as the hand cannon appeals to me on many levels, but almost all that found were not worth using over the auto rifle.

6 RepliesCool, I'll have the option to switch between a scout and pulse rifle now. I'll even give the hand cannon a shot. I won't be using a auto rifle though, unless I find a AK-47 type of auto rifle in the game.

This makes me very happy. I used the hand cannon all through the beta and love it in both pvp and pve, now knowing it's getting a buff makes me bounce with joy cause I want my fellow guardians to enjoy that little beauty beside me and I hope to see more pulse rifles cause my friends first long term goal in the game is to get red death and I'm excited to fight along side that monster

personally i perfer fire rate with decent fire power so hand cannons and pulse rifle never really appealed to me a whole lot

5 RepliesI'm glad to see the pulse rifle getting a buff, but the hand cannon doesn't really need that much of one. In pvp (not iron banner) I was able to kill people in 4 shots if I couldn't hit them in the head. Now that's not amazing but after some practice you can get good at shooting and dodging incoming.

1 ReplyI care about the pulse rifle. I like the semi auto feel like the BR. It was just lacking the power of a BR which made it outclassed by the AR and SR.

1 ReplyI care! I absolutely loved the pulse rifles. I hope they buff the scout rifles just a little as well. I liked using those as well. I don't know why, but I never liked using automatic weapons. I always used the DMR and BR in Halo and I guess that is transferring over to Destiny.

10 RepliesHoly crap..... I still have tears on my eyes. Wth was IGN thinking? Any fanboy of FPS could've had better questions or at least listened to Urk. She was simply terrible. So bad.... Hell, even of I were nervous I'd do a better job. Ask about why there are no more destiny drawing boards Ask about his personal fav class/weapon Ask about the subclass system and if they are still going to be sold at the tower like Deej said they would in a weekly update. Ask about if they would potentially give proximity chat Ask about what bungie a plans are post launch Ask about if he himself have taken on the challenge of the vault of glass Last but not least ask him which team he was on for the pentathlon and if he was looking for revenge. So many better questions to be asked. Ugh.
