What is a good reason to join a clan?
Discuss.
Personally, I like knowing that old friends will be there to play with me when life allows for sone trigger time.

Dont need to be in a clan to play with old friends,i rather lone wolf it up. Unless there is something to gain by being in a clan like clan gear or weapons or a clan leader bord u can try to top.But i understand your insecure and you need to show everyone you have friends with a awesome 4 letter tag.!!LONG LIVE THE TRAVELER!!

Unless you're just a FFA type mercenary, the best reason to join a clan is to find like-minded teammates. I used to get frustrated at times playing with server assigned teammates who either were jerks or non-communicative, or didn't want to play as a team, or some combination of these. I looked around and was fortunate to find a group that plays with the same approach I do - play to win and have fun. The bonus for me is the friendships that developed along the way. Say thankya.

They're great if you want to find like minded people to play with together. To find people that will help you & people that need help. In overall most games are better with friends & if you're going to be playing together you might as well be in a clan together.

Incentive beyond friendship can actually be the foundation for a start of gathering and forming alliances that can turn into a brotherhood. Common goals are something all Lone Wolfs share. Placing such goals at the end of a Clan roster can lead to players branching out so long as the reward is worth it.

Personally, I ended up hooking up with [b]Gunslingers[/b] because I learned a long time ago a gaming session can be made or broken by the people you spend it with. Sure, I could spend hours on Halo alone in my room... but there was no one there to banter with me. To laugh and yell at our killing sprees and shutdowns. Or to share those crappy moments when it just seemed like there was no coming back from a bad game. Experiences are at their best when you have someone to share them with. :) And Destiny is a big game, I couldn't imagine going at it alone.

I don't think there is one. I think that if you really want to play with like minded people, you'll just get together with your friends. Maybe you and your friends could operate in a private group, to show that yes, we are a team, not just a bunch of randoms, but all these Clans with hundreds of people in them just seem like a big mass confusion, and some of the more 'Hardcore' clans like the Primeguard are completely unnecessary, with their time and skill requirements, it makes them seem like they've got some kind of superiority complex. If you wanna play MLG, Go play MLG, leave me and my friends to our own devices, and we'll stay out of your way.

1 ReplyA good reason to join a clan is to make friends. That's the main reason I would, anyways. It's nice to have some people to play with and it's even better to have people to have your back during a game.
