This has been discussed already but it seems that we may have 3 focuses (sub-classes) to choose from per class and not just 2. Also someone posted a theory that each of the sub-classes is based off of one of the 3 element types in Destiny: solar (fire), arch (lightning), and void (darkness or shadow?). That would mean that the hunter is missing void, titan is missing solar, and the warlock is missing arch. However the super abilities for each of these hidden sub-classes (if there are any) are still unknown to us.
This brings me to a question. If you could choose the super for each of these missing sub-classes what would they be? Please keep in mind the class and the focus' element.

Maybe a duel weild hand cannon, one which creates a void in an area, and another that extends the suction power of the void. (This is for hunter).

Can't remember where, but I remember reading that you can find hidden subclasses and foci through boss drops or loot chests, etc... I hope that's true

7 RepliesI have a feeling that a lot of info on Destiny will be revealed July 7th (Bungie Day)

3 RepliesMaybe the warlock could call down bolts of arc lightning around itself.

Warlock needs Arc huh? Okay. You jump in the air and throw down directly below several lightning strikes that don't do much damage but deafen and stun the enemies affected for a few moments. The grenade is just a damaging flashbang.

Hey man!! In the alpha I noticed that there were 3 spots for subclasses, I don't have a pic and now it's over but I'm sure you could look through videos for it. For Example: when you go to the customization screen and you scroll over the primary weapon slot it shows how many you can carry, it showed 2 extra in the subclass spot!!

Edited by wearemany: 6/24/2014 4:04:49 AMThe titan has a close attack arc and a support void, so I'm guessing a ranged solar. The hunter has a ranged solar and a close attack arc, so I'm guessing a support void. The warlock has a ranged void and a support solar, so I'm guessing a close attack arc. I'd like to say there's a pattern there, but the warlock reverses the void and solar roles from the other two classes. Just speculation.

4 RepliesGive the titan an immolate for his solar... He's supposed to be a tanky class and already has strong melee... So a timed immolate ability that would make his super melee a one hit ko and his regular melee also do more damage and have a big range dot aoe while giving a buff to armor... So he's a mobile aoe damage bubble that you don't want to be near especially melee range...

Edited by Saboteur: 6/24/2014 3:36:17 AMI want titans 3rd subclass to be a ranged offensive attack, maybe like a pressurized burst of heated magma lol idk something like that-:) For Hunter, we can already speculate that it's gonna be a buff of some kind.... For warlock, it def gonna be a close range attack just like Hunters blade dancer super...

4 RepliesBump, I want to see other people's imaginations make some supers.

3 RepliesFor the Titan's solar one I choose great balls of fire.

There is none

12 RepliesI was thinking the remaining super would be similar to other supers from each class. For example the Titan would have a projectile solar ability like the golden gun and nova bomb. The hunter would have a void buff or non lethal super like the titans shield or warlocks radiance. And the warlock would have an arc close quarters super like fist of havoc or arcblade.

2 RepliesEdited by chittyshwimp: 6/22/2014 11:15:12 PMTitans solar ability: dash far forward (fast but only in one direction), engulfing yourself in flames, and leaving a trail of flames as you do so. Deal massive damage to whoever you hit directly with this, and cause dps to enemies that v walk through it. Upgrades include longer distance, control direction at the cost of speed, and cause a small explosion on impact. Maybe there can be more, but I thought there was maybe 3 upgrade choices per super. Good for: choke point control. Counter: jump out of the way. Hunters void: turn invisible (not entirely for PvP purposes, but invisible completely to ai, and definitely not invincible) for a short time (5 seconds base), and explode with void damage when reappearing. Shooting (perhaps jumping as well) will make you reappear, thus giving you control of exploding before your time is up. Upgrades include longer time, with a small damage penalty, larger blast radius with a small time penalty, and lingering damage at no penalty. Good for: PvE, ambush attacks, choke point control if using lingering damage. Counter: shoot the guy before he reaches you, jump away if jumping cancels the invisibility. Edit: perhaps crouch walking can prolong the time, but keeps your timer going, and it doesn't take you off the radar while using this ability. Warlocks arc super: cause an arc explosion from where you are standing with large range. Deals medium damage, and temporarily disables HUDs for PvP (say, 5 seconds), stuns enemies for PvE. Upgrades include a damage boost at the cost of range, increase range at the cost of damage, and causing damage per second, at the cost of initial damage. Counter: the warlock takes a second to charge this, if you see/hear him charge, sprint and jump out of range! (Hopefully) These I just thought of as I was typing. I'd love to see if any of you can come up with super names and even sub class names for these guys. EDIT: based on another users theory that the classes should also be of similar type (I.e. ranged like the nova bomb, fist of havoc, or golden gun; support like void barrier or radiance; or close quarters like arc blade) The aforementioned void super for the hunter gives teammates a buff when leaving invisibility. The aforementioned warlock arc ability Is much closer range, but does massive damage. Haven't thought of the upgrades for the void super for the hunter, but the upgrades for the warlock can remain the same.

2 RepliesIs arch like electricity? Is so the warlock needs to be force lightning like in star wars.

1 ReplyEdited by XMalakhX: 6/22/2014 3:38:00 AMDoes anyone know if we will have access to all 3 sub-classes when the final version of thel game goes live? Or will it be a secret sub-class obtained by achieving a certain level or requirement?

Good points

There are going to be more focuses anyway so.....

4 Repliesi'm on board with the idea that nades and jump are like, regardless of subclass you're rolling.. and the three subclass idea makes perfect sense regardless of whether they'll be day one or not.
