3 RepliesEdited by Skeloton: 6/24/2014 7:34:20 PMAeris, FF7, First time I saw the scene I was bout 7-9yrs old and watching my dad play. Cried my eyes out. The Last of Us near the beginning where the kid dies, felt nothing but shock and horror, I may have seen it coming but still didn't numb the feeling. The Synthesis ending of ME3. yes the endings were completely horrible but that music in addition to the fact I poured several hours and shit with the character I played as made it emotional. The concert bit in FF-X-2, don't know why, don't want to know but i felt emotions...lots of them just melding into a compounded emotion. That's bout all i can remember. Edit: Beyond Two souls....many of the endings for many reasons. All I felt was a gut wrenching hole being torn out of my body and soul. I lost my taste for games for a long while after that and im a game addict, I go into withdrawals within hours of quitting a game.

The Last of Us. Very linear, very scripted, no replay value. But incredibly immersive, outstanding writing (nothing else in the industry comes close,) stellar acting and a beautiful, heart-tugging story from start to finish. No game had ever affected me so much while playing it. I finished the game and just sat there for 30 minutes taking it all in. I hope another game comes around that delivers an experience like that.

Oh, and does anger in multiplayer count?

When Nathan Hale died. Saved Ellie from dying and from being kidnapped. When Ghost died. (Hah, no.) When I finally got into the Dark Brotherhood for the first time. When I got my first 1,000+ meter Headshot. When I unlocked the experimental fighter in Ace Combat. When I was titled a Ghost of Razgriz. When I played Resident Evil for the first time. When I reached Tau Voltanis. When I beat my first game on Superhuman (Legendary, Extreme, Big Boss Hard, whatever you want to call it.) When I slayed my first Metal Gear. When I piloted my first Metal Gear. When John Marston died. That's about it. I need more..

Not particularly sad, just gives you chills, twice in one game. Really some of the best voice acting in a video game from Dom.

When Anderson died, when Lee died, when Mordin, Thane, and Legion, and when I was playing Dead Island. The cutscenes, story, and dialogue were so bad I kept laughing.

I've never cried, but I've gotten the chills quite a few times. I remember the first time a game gave me the chills, it was Assassin's Creed II's introduction where Ezio and Federico were atop the church, talking about how their lives may never change. Ominous foreshadowing + amazing music was a great feeling. The ending to Revelations was crazy good, my jaw literally dropped throughout the entire ending.

Learning about Halo 2 Anniversary. Gameplay wise, the angry tears of the Halo 2 cliffhanger.
