am i only the only one who thought halo reach was one of the 5 best games the year it came out

I can say that Halo: Reach is way better than Halo 4. I don't know if it's one the best 5 games of the year.

Look, chastise and attack Halo 4 all you want, at least it had a solid campaign (before you 343 haters froth at the mouth, I didn't say it was brilliant, it's solid, hence the use of the word) and a coherent narrative as well as a semi respectable utilisation of characters and themes. Reach didn't have half of that, and that's being generous. There isn't a plot until the [i]second last mission.[/i] I'll repeat that, [i]second last mission,[/i] and I use the word plot very loosely because it's essentially just "deliver Cortana to X destination." I could drone on about the abysmal characterisation and the half assed excuse of a multiplayer, but I think it's pretty self explanatory for those who have played it. I really don't understand this new liking to Reach, because 3 years ago you guys were so anally devastated at the mere sight of it. Now it's the new H3. Is this just a continual cycle within the community? Find any excuse to rip on the new game and praise the previous one like it's the second coming of Christ?

Reach was one of my all time favourite games, then the TU ruined it and I moved onto Battlefield which I am enjoying a lot more than Halo.

I believe BFBC2 and ME2 came out that year but those would be the only one I'd put above it.

Some people don't like change. That's why it got so much stick. It wasn't perfect but it was a damn good game.
