I have a console, I'm not likely to get a new one till big price drop. And most of the people I game with are on the PC. And the fact I can Pre-order Destiny for everything BUT the PC has me worried. There IS a pc market for it and I'm hoping this poll will make it clear to Bungie.

If they haven't already done it, it should happen sometime in the future. I would prefer to play it on a console (as I will be doing already), but I wouldn't mind the option of having it on PC and opening up the community to the PC gamers.

6 RepliesWell im no master of the laws and i dont quite read contracts in my free time, but i gave a look on destiny contract and it says "for xbox 360, ps3 and their respective next generation platforms, as well as for windows-based personal computers (PC)". Also as i could saw, the destiny ps4 and xbox one it would be the same as the pc version. Repeat dont have any idea about laws and legal contract stuff but hey, from what i've read it could damn be already done.

I've all but given up on console systems. I still have my xbox 360, but the last game I bought for it was Halo 4, and the horrible amount of texture pop-in as well as the 35 foot render distance really showed how obsolete that system is. When I play Destiny I want to play it where I think it will look and feel the best. If I want to use a controller I've got my xbox controller hooked up to my computer. If I want to play it on a tv while I use said controller I can do that too. As for price, I've spent about $500 on my system over the course of two years and I can play games like bioshock infinite and metro last light on high settings at about 45 fps. The PC is a console like any other, so it's only a matter of time. I'd be willing to wait a few months extra to play it-and it looks like I'll have to. My question is why can't we even pre-order the game?

i agree.

1 ReplyEdited by salvucci91: 10/7/2013 6:24:50 AMAs much as I, too, very much want Destiny for PC, this poll isn't going to tell them anything they don't already know. They apparently have their hands quite full with developing this game on 4 different platforms. Luckily, I'm not nearly as pumped for GTA 5 as I am for Destiny, so I can wait for that to come out for PC.

1 ReplySee I can understand on pc destiny runs better looks bette, etc. but destiny like halo for the most part should be console so they don't have the problems of ppl getting the game free modding it etc, destiny is going to be made for 10 yrs so it also could be.

I personally would love to see it on PC. I'm ok if it doesn't, because I own all the current systems. I can't afford a new system right now, or justify one for a couple games, but I can justify spending some extra cash to upgrade a gaming PC that I already have. Most of the comments I see against PC version are about the cost of a PC....don't get one then, get console, it's already coming out for those. Sure a PC is expensive up front, but majority of the people who want this on PC, already have the gaming rig to play it, so they don't have to buy a whole new system to play a fun game. If it doesn't come out for PC, those people if they multi-platform like I do, could get it on a different systems, but the catch is that a lot of those gamers are hardcore PC people, who don't own another system. Therefore, Bungie misses out on every one of those hardcore gamers. Who also by the way, are an extreme help in providing great feedback and actual helpful responses to betas and the like. Those guys tend to find the problems fast, and make sure to let the devs know about it fast. So......it goes either way. Create the game for PC, and see it excel a ton, or leave it on console only and have it chance becoming the next Halo franchise where the people in it are limited to a set persona (i.e. Gears of War, Halo guys). Notice I don't mention Call of Duty franchise, well that's because its PC also, it hits all people types. Food for thought

2 RepliesI would really love it coming on PC, otherwise I'm not going to buy a console for a single game :(
-
My theory is it will be announced for PC after the new consoles are released. Activision must have a deal with Microsoft and Sony, because almost all games published by them are also on PC.
-
I'm probably not buying it unless it's released for 'PC'.
-
I would love this game on pc.

1 ReplyWould love to see this game on PC, simply because it will allow our old Halo:CE PC clan to reunite and play together. We tried Halo 2 on Xbox Live, but it just wasn't the same. Now that Bungie have the chance to bring it to personal computers, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't. Subscription fees can still be applied if that's causing hesitation. Hell, I'd be willing to pay twice the XBL fee if it meant not shelling out for a console.

1 ReplyI'd personally love to see it on PC -- I find PC gaming a little bit more my type and it'd save me the hassle of getting a console for the specific purpose of playing Destiny. It's just the most convenient way for me, but I understand the problems involved with that; especially considering the no cross-platforming. Also, I don't know where all this PC hate is coming from -- in fact, most PC gamers I know also own a console, lol.

Edited by gm0d42: 10/3/2013 6:14:21 AMI cannot see a single valid argument as to why this game shouldn't come out on pc. I also cannot justify spending $500 just to play a single game. This is coming from someone who bought both halo 3 and reach legendary editions, and still has them despite selling my Xbox over 6months ago. If this is the way our relationship ends, bungie, then I'll just have to forget this travasty, and remember the good old days playing halo.

I don't understand why it WOULDN'T be on PC. Consoles and PC are using close to the same encoding now, so it wouldn't be a big leap to put it on the PC. On top of that, PC has something that the consoles dont and never will...the modding community! That is the biggest selling point for PC gaming for me over consoles. Now if this is released under stteam, i could be both! :D

2 RepliesI think PCs are good for gaming, but I don't understand why people prefer PC and shut out to consoles. They're both good!!

2 RepliesEdited by OrbitTrooper114: 10/1/2013 10:45:26 PMTo all the people who are wanting Destiny on PC (including me), it basically boils down to one simple solution, It's Whatever Bungie Wants. If Bungie wants to announce Destiny for PC, then clap clap. But if not, then no big deal (Though there may be PC Elitist who may complain the same way with GTA 5). Though IMO, I feel like Bungie will make Destiny a console exclusive due to the fact of making consoles fell well... Exclusive. Now if you think about it, if every game were to be on PC, then what is the point of having consoles?

4 Repliesforget about destiny. star cititzen is on pc and only pc.
-
Edited by Bounce: 10/1/2013 10:17:36 PMI'd love to play it on a next-gen console, but I'm not sure when I'll get one, and even then I hate having to pay the subscription fees (Live Gold, PSN+) - so I'm not even sure if I will be able to play it if it's not on the PC. However, were it to come out for the PC, it's a certain purchase.
-
I don't want to be stuck with pleb-tier graphics. It better release for PC.

16 RepliesYou forgot poll option: I don't give a crap, PC or no PC I will still enjoy the game.
