As was stated in the Bungie : News : New Beginnings article, Bungie ends a reply to a question about "...some exclusive incentives available now to reward the first players who reserve their copy of the game," with this:
On the undisclosed front, we’ve also been keeping tabs on those of you who have kept us company during our dark phase, and we fully plan on rewarding our loyal fans in some small, but hopefully meaningful ways in the future. Signal received?
After reading this response it made me wonder by what they meant by it. Although many of us Bungie.net community members would say that you are a loyal fan, but how do you think the Bungie staff members will determine who are the loyal fans?
On another note, what do you think the, "rewarding some small, but hopefully meaningful ways in the future," could be?

i would die for bungie

2 RepliesI'm sure signing in frequently during the darkness is what they are talking about.

Well, I've had my account since 2007 before Halo 3 came out. Made the account during the halo 2 days, on 360.. the reason I bought a 360 was to play Halo and Halo 2. I never had the first xbox. Pretty much stuck around for awhile. When Halo moved to 343 I registered on those forums to continue to talk about Halo. I'll admit Bungie.net kinda fell to the wayside for me. Watch all of there media announcement (Oh Brave New World) etc. But as for the forums.. I mostly moved to 343. Let's hope I signed in at least once during the "dark phase" :D

1 ReplyHopefully they give people exclusives, i dont know lets say everyone who registered on bungie.net before 2010 will get something
-
4 RepliesI was wondering how they will determine that as well. I consider myself a very loyal Bungie fan, played and own all the Halo games they made, constantly checking the website for updates listened to the podcast etc. But I've never been to involved with the community something I'm looking to change now. It will be exciting to be part of the launch of their new franchise.

Edited by Steel Assassin: 2/24/2013 5:14:20 AMI may or may not being wearing Bungie gear as I'm reading this. I participated in the ARG and I've been a member since 2004. But imagine the qualifications will be as open as being a member since at least the ARG was open, or a few months beforehand.

I have every Halo game and every marathon game, so I guess so. It was sheer coincidence and not because Bungie made them though.

1 ReplyI hope DeeJ won't hold a grudge against me for calling his username retarded at PAX. (Dee-Jay is SO much better than Dee-j)
-
Bungie? Possible This Community? Yes
-
My main was made back in 08'. I've been here on and off until my sudden "change" back in '11.

Edited by Inyaccurate: 2/23/2013 6:24:10 PMI've been around since 2010. I used to be very active on the forums up until the announcement of Halo 4. I wanted to see how 343 would do. When I saw the trailer for Destiny on the Xbox Dashboard, I was speechless, and raced back to the Bnet only to find this amazing new world.

1 ReplyMaybe we will have some new titles?
-
3 RepliesI hope lurking counts as "keeping us company".
-
6 RepliesBeta codes ;)

3 RepliesI stayed throughout the darkness. However, I did not speak much. >_>
-
They'll determine it like this.
those of you who have kept us company during our dark phase
If you weren't here for the past couple of years, you won't get anything.

1 ReplyCustom armor seems too overdone. Maybe some specific decals for our ships/vehicles, like a 7th column paint job. Either that, or a pet dragon.
-
1 ReplyEdited by CaptKrunch: 2/23/2013 2:03:51 AMPeople who stayed throughout the darkness, and yes, yes I am.
-
Probably just being active on the forums during the darkness.
-
if Bungie asked me to, i would suck a di-.. or erm, nevermind. but in all seriousness, i have respect for bungie and i wouldnt consider myself a "loyal" fan but i do respect them
-
The word loyal creeps me out. Not sure if being a long time member counts, though they wouldn't know since this is my second account ive had here.

3 RepliesWe all get a cape with the septagon on it. Signifying our awesomeness.
-
Clearly the reward should be a flaming helmet =P
-
Probably if you've stayed active between Reach release and 2014. I didn't play all games but I own all books and will have to say Halo is the biggest thing in gaming I have ever seen. Let's see how its twin brother, Destiny, does.
-
I been keeping tabs......

Ive been Playing Halo since the Day it came out, ive been around the forums since Halo 2...under different names so i dont expect to see any "reward" thrown my way...
