Read my first comment again, it's still there. I never insulted anyone until you responded with your "fanboy" remark. You started sh*t, I shoveled it back.

Apologies then, if you weren’t intending to be hostile

No apologies necessary, it's difficult to tell intent from an internet forum post. I genuinely mean what I said though. With so many other games available to play it's definitely better to move onto something else, at least for a while. Is there a specific genre you typically play, or do you prefer a variety?

Yeah I guess it’s safe to say this game won’t be going back to its glory days I won’t be holding my breath Personally I’m a big fan of MMOs, and you probably already know that it’s rare for new ones to come out. Been playing old school Runescape lately, been on and off for 18 years

I've tried getting into MMOs like 'ESO' and 'FFXVI' but outside of 'Destiny' nothing has really kept my interest. I tend to prefer story-driven, single player games that I can play at my own pace and there's no chance of me missing anything. To a degree I guess it's a sort of FOMO, just not in the more common meaning of the term.

Yeah it’s not for everyone, especially with those bland fetch quests at the start I got really hooked into ffxiv during Covid, the main story quests were pretty decent, I’m not too sure why I quit but I really dislike the gear treadmill aspect of end game Osrs is quite different from traditional mmos. The quests are probably the best out of any mmo I’ve played. And fomo is non existent, my gear from 10 years ago is still relevant lol But nothing beats a single player story experience, only thing for me that it is ends too early :(

I didn't think this post would get a happy ending, but it did!

It sucks because Destiny tried the mmo genre. THEIR version of it is WAY LESS GRINDY and FASTER than a normal mmo. So when you try and go to an actual mmo, the pacing is going to be beyond slow. Took me TWO YEARS to catch up to end Walker for FFXIV. That's WITH distractions like side content. Side content that's fun enough to derail my progress. But since 14 is my first mmo, I was skeptical to try it until my friend bought me all expansions. And by all expansions, I mean the latest one. Because all you need is to buy the game, sub to it, and get the latest dlc in order to get ALL dlcs.
