This season provides no weekly patterns. I do not actively follow Destiny news, but apparently Bugie removed them for good because ppl complained. Why? Back to grind to get the roll we want? I don't have time to play this game for hours the same content over and over to have a chance to get a roll I want. I dislike pointless grind. It doesn't keep me hooked at least. Bugie seems to punish casuals so the streamers or hardcore players are happy.

6 RepliesThe community seems pretty evenly split on crafting but Bungie had a knee jerk reaction to it because they too often show this kind of lack of moderation, and so they completely removed it. Removed crafting AND focusing and replaced it with something tedious and not fun. So few people I know are engaging with the season in any substantial way. All they had to do was make seasonal weapons both craftable and enhanceable but make red borders drop only from activity completions. Remove weekly freebie red borders and red borders from focusing and have them drop from activity completions only. Both sides appeased. Instead they went way too hard in one direction and alienated like half the player base.

1 ReplyEdited by CORPERATE COMMANDER: 11/22/2024 10:49:30 PMStreamers complained it was too easy to get the perfect god roll and it removed the grind and hype for that perfect god roll drop . No normal player agreed with it atall, and hates the fact bungie removed crafting

The only weapon patterns we got are the refreshed GoS ones. I get you dude, I’m all for crafting and since these new seasonal weapons don’t have patterns I legit haven’t bothered chasing any. My focus is on those weapons I have control over so this season that is the GoS weapons

This is gamblers with addictions vs rational human beings things. It benefitted everyone. People encouraging them to remove crafting are ignoring the fact that just grinding things isn't fun for everyone. It's not the way to keep people playing seasonal activities. Oh well. The design choices to increase player's time on the game vs player's enjoyment of the game are no longer working after the last decade. Who could have anticipated this?

Only new patterns right now are in the Garden of Salvation raid. 7 weapons but no heavies. Once Vault of Glass updates, who knows
Bugie seems to punish casuals so the streamers or hardcore players are happy.
You should play PvP then. It was probably just to see how things would go. It can always come back in some form that doesn't break the game for people that play it more often.

Bungie knew the weapons and the perks were going to be horrible so they saved everyone the time of grinding for patterns.

2 RepliesYou don't have time to grind for hours and hours to get a good roll, but you do have time to grind for hours and hours to randomly get five red borders? Where's your logic?

I suggest you go find the news where they talked about it lol. They're neither "removed for good" nor are they "punish(ing) casuals so streamers or hardcore players are happy." They're just going to be used as a catch-up mechanic and not an instant source of god rolls in the first two weeks of a season. Best of luck.
