Threadling grenades and Needlestorm are bad on prismatic.
Without thread of evolution, these abilities are wasted, please give prismatic a thread of evolution equivalent, or maybe have equipping Needlestorm on prismatic give threadlings a damage buff equivalent to thread of evolution.
As is, Needlestorm is flat out worse than nova on prismatic by base and nova bomb can benefit from facet of courage AND get the full benefits of star eater scales.
Threadling grenades are essentially weaker skip grenades with horrible tracking that jump past enemies, get stuck on walls or can't catch up if the target isn't standing still.

3 RepliesI actually really like Needlestorm on Prismatic. Has lower total damage than Nova, sure, but it doesn’t block any of your allies attacks when fired during a DPS phase, has veered add clear, and is darkness so it fills up the darkness meter pretty well, witch for the majority of my builds, is usually an issue.

Even without Evolution, your Threadlings are doing more than 20 damage to a single target. In PvE, Skips are only "useful" with the Jolt fragment, and at that point, it's another case of a Grenade + Fragment being stronger than a similar Grenade - Fragment.

2 RepliesNeedlestorm does give you a decent burst super that gives you darkness transcendence energy and access to Woven Mail through Facet of Purpose. I don't think it's [i]that[/i] bad.

Prismatic is the mix everything together subclass, some things just aren’t gonna synergize well. I am hoping Bungie adds more as the year progresses like with other new subclasses but I’m probably just coping super hard[spoiler]I do wish we had a damaging Solar grenade though. Healing grenade is super cool and all but damn I already have devour stapled to my build I just wanna make Solar damage with my grenade sometimes and Bungie is bad for making that literally impossible for me[/spoiler]

Threadling grenades are essentially weaker skip grenades with a longer cooldown and horrible tracking that jump past enemies or can't catch up if the target isn't standing still.[/quote] On one hand having the strand version of these abilities be better is good, on the other hand they’re not going to get use over the other abilities on prismatic. Could bake the bonus damage into the fragment that buffs shatter and ignition damage.

1 ReplyUpsides and downsides should co-exist to make choices matter. Prismatic is a concert of all our abilities together. Needlestorm can really be more accurate in locking on multiple targets. More tuning for both is required. I can't really pinpoint specifics. I understand you would like the equivalent to Strand in Prismatic. That can definitely happen. We do need differences, so Prismatic does not overthrow any single subclass. A buff to threadlings seeing targets further and exploding when they wither can be cool. Just some more thoughts.
