Masterwork swapping.

So here is my idea, its probably not an original idea but hear me out. How about the masterworks pretty much had the same functionality as the weapon mods, like how the adept mods are currently functioning. That would let us freely pick between what we want, it would give the players more agency, and would allow for more freedom to tweak our weapons and reduce the mind numbing grind. Because, i am not gonna lie, having your perfect roll ruined by a reload masterwork or something else that would be useless for the weapon is kinda infuriating.

    • It makes sense logically but Bungie would need to add another column to ensure the grind for weapons was at a certain level. It’s the only reason we had re-roll in D1 on IB weapons and they took it away because everyone just got three of the META and made an arc, void and solar version.

    • Fun fact, this used to be a thing. You could reroll a MW once the weapon was fully masterworked for a bunch of enhancement cores. Wish they would bring it back, but I'd wager the cost would have to be pretty steep for it.

      • The only reason why I want this is because blast radius is actively detrimental to grenade launchers

        • Would be great for us players but, as it goes against the grind mechanic that Destiny is propped up on it's probably never going to happen.

        • How about this. You can change your masterwork on weapons you’ve started the enhancement process on. - Gun must be at least stage 2 (level 11) in the upgrade system. - 2 to 3 Enhancement Prisms to change. (Waiting to then would likely be easier to implement bc i believe that’s when a crafted gun gets the full benefit from its masterwork thing

            • This is how it should have been since MW were added into the game. Such an easy "fix", but probably never going to happen.
