While I don't have any ideas for Voidwalker, I do have an idea for Nightstalker:
Corrosive Smoke
- Detonates on impact with any surface/target
- Makes targets volatile
- Deals chip damage over time to targets stuck in the cloud (please don't make it look green like in D1)
It'll give Nightstalkers an easier form of crowd control compatible with Stylish Executioner, and it'll be easy to implement because it's just bringing back Corrosive Smoke with the added volatility effect.
Plus the icon for Corrosive Smoke looks cool.
Can someone help me come up with an idea for Voidwalker?
Edit: Ya'll really went above and beyond with this. There are so many cool ideas here

1 ReplyFor the nightstalker i always thought of a void kunai or dart that you can keep retrieving like the sunbreakers, and every time you pick it up you get like sprint or relaod speed, think it would fit the fantasy nice.
-
Here’s my ideas: -Nightstalker: Shadow Shift- Throw a kunai which travels quickly and sticks to surfaces. After a short duration, you teleport to the location of the kunai. While the kunai is on a surface and shortly after you teleport, your health is reduced and you are weakened. After teleporting, your kunai leaves a ripple from your teleportation location, which lingers for a short duration. Enemies can shoot and destroy this ripple, which will bring you back. -Voidwalker: Warp Walk- Aim in a direction and activate your melee to tear open The Void. You create a tear at the targeted location, and you create a tear at your location. You can shoot and see through a tear. This tear lingers for a moderate duration.

1 ReplyI have an idea for nightstalkers Weakening Blade, a single void infused dagger you can jam into a target and it weakens them for 30 seconds
-
2 RepliesBungo: Naaah.. But they can get a nerf..? Would that be interesting for you?

Voidlock: Vampiric Drain Drain the life-force of all enemies (25hp in PvE, 10 in PvP) in a 5m radius around you, granting you half the amount. Kill an afflicted enemy to proc Devour.

3 RepliesEdited by Valen: 11/25/2023 7:48:42 AMJust give Warlocks back their original melee that was way better than the current. Just melee proc devour. Or if you want original. Then take Pocket Singularity, remove it's tracking, speed up the projectile, give it more range distance and let it suppress targets instead. Edit: or additionally. Reapers Clutch: A wave based melee, making it the void equivalent of Solar snap, that's a 45 degree void wave (Similar to Nez's scythe wave) that has a short range and supresses targets.
-
7 RepliesWhile I’d like that one as a melee option too, here are my ideas: Nightstalker: - Phantom Strike - a quick lunged melee with a void-infused knife. Deals additional damage to Void-Debuffed enemies. Final blows or striking a void-debuffed enemy makes you invisible. Voidwalker: - Energy Drain - Striking a target improves grenade regeneration rate for a moderate duration. This effect lasts longer with devour active.
-
So grab a smoke bomb and smash it in their faces ? I'd love that!
-
I would like to see a spectral blade melee ability that increases in power the longer you are invisible.
-
If void get a new melee before stasis i think I might finally be able to shed a tear.
-
4 RepliesThe issue is that the Nightstalker isn't an offensive subclass. I don't see much of anybody using smoke if that came out.

1 ReplyGive us Titans Defensive Strike, Frontal Assault and Mortar Blast back; I'm so -blam!- tired of ranged and run-before-activating melees, such lame game design

That's an over delivery buddy.

Edited by BlueKiBlast: 11/25/2023 3:31:10 AMVoidwalker new melee Cosmic Compulsion: Using your melee sends out a pulse wave that can pass through targets dealing slight damage while weakening them. Pressing your melee again while the pulse is traveling pulls combatants towards the pulse. The pulse lasts for 3.5 before disappearing. The pulse can be fired in any direction to pull the combatants. The pulse will pull any enemy within a 5m radius or any enemy affected by a void verb within 12.5 meters. Want to knock a couple of knights off the ledge to their 9.8m/s demise? Backed into a wall and need all enemies to back off? Well, here you go. This can't be used to pull bosses, mini bosses, and champs.

6 RepliesI had a similar post a while back and this is what I came up for warlock - Phase shift: you step between realities for a single moment and re-emerge a small distance away, when you emerge you emit a wave of weakening energy and a small amount of damage knocking your enemies back. Holding the melee button allows you to phase farther and see your approximate point of emergence. Holding the button expends melee energy and if it runs out this ability fails. But I love your idea for hunters!

Edited by Meow Fairy: 11/25/2023 10:50:35 AMNo more smoke bombs please. Just give it the d1 arc teleportation melee that dealt more damage while behind ennemies. So it synergize with the weaken effect applied with a melee while invis.

All these comments are dumb. Just bring back atomic breach melee

Edited by Rheso: 11/25/2023 6:12:03 PMFor Voidwalker: consume Pocket Singularity and gain devour

I'd rather see Shadebinder get a new non-ranged melee over Voidwalker.
