Simple question. Why does heat rises screw my burst glide?

Feel free to elaborate bungie or justify this mental decision?

  • It gives you the other glide instead. Try using Strafe Glide. You'll be able to Bunnyhop burst glide while Heat Rises is active.
Feel free to elaborate bungie or justify this mental decision?
It’s calculative physics- burst glide has no directional control; activating heat rises purposefully slows movement so that you have better aerial control Strafe, on the other hand, is its polar opposite, which stacks benefits alongside heat rises, meaning there is no net limitation or cap, which is why it feels smoother

Years ago, burst glide moved too fast in crucible when dawn blade was active, so they nerfed the speed of burst glide specifically in the super to feel horrible, and left the other two alone (strafe glide still has the really fast super movement). When they made heat rises, they had it use the same mechanics as the super, meaning they gave burst glide the neutered jump and the other two still feel good. It’s a byproduct of them porting over janky super mechanics onto heat rises when they made it. I personally use strafe glide in Sunbracers builds where I’ll have heat rises 90% of the time, and I honestly hate it.

        • No, leave this as is. If you aren’t using strafe by default, you are warlocking wrong.

          • I can't exactly remember why but I think it's because heat rises is inherently strafe glide, if you have strafe glide equipped with heat rises active you'll get propelled forward faster than burst.

Because your burst glide is just way too attractive. Heat rises just can't help itself when burst glide gets the heat rising. Edit: as long as it's consensual I don't think its an issue.
