It's not obtuse, it's simply a statement of fact. I never said anything remotely resembling an accusation of this being a sh*t on Destiny/Bungie post, either. Let me put it this way; while I appreciate the intention behind your post is to give feedback as to how Bungie can produce a higher quality game in the future, have you ever considered that perhaps the reason the game is in the state it's in may have something to do with the overwhelming amount of "feedback" from so many players that are certain they know what's best for the game when in fact it's what's best for them personally, and it usually conflicts with what every other players thinks is best? Maybe, and I've already been told I'm wrong here, what's best overall is to let the game developers handle the game development while we do our part and either play the game or get onto something else. Have you ever heard an expression along the lines of, "Too many chefs and not enough cooks?" Here's a perfect example of what I mean; read the forum and tell me how many posts are from players telling Bungie to nerf something. I'm betting you'll find more than one. Everyone keeps saying they need to listen to the community, but the community can't make up its mind and agree on much of anything beyond what Bungie is doing isn't working. I think step one in fixing that is to ignore what the angry horde is clamoring for.

It kinda is a little obtuse when your reply to feedback is essentially deal with it or quit. That said Bungie hasn't actually listened to player feedback outside of crisis mode. I'd actually argue that Bungie has an unfortunate problem of waving off player feedback and only listening to a few specific individuals they invited to have a voice. Some of the employees who were laid off mentioned practically begging Bungie's Management to make changes based off feedback and they were ignored. The only people Bungie have taken feedback from were the individuals they invite out to their Bungie Summit, and the majority of the people who are known to attend are streamers. Datto as an example has been one of the more influential individuals regarding Destiny's design and even though that guy gets most of what he wants out of D2 he's burnt out so frequently he's essentially decided to just walk away from D2. In my opinion D2 is in a bad place because a lot of Devs and a lot of streamers want Destiny to be WoW but with guns. They want no bad luck protection and weapons so good and so rare that the very few people who have them are uncontested. They want .000001 drop rates so they can circle jerk between each other when a rare drop occurs. They want an all looter game with just a smidge of shooter Personally I want the opposite of that. I want acquisition through challenge with the chance that challenge can be sidestepped by RNG, and my taste is very dominant towards the shooter aspect. It's difficult to keep up with the shooter aspect of the game for endgame when you're constantly having to chase a build that often becomes obsolete in 3 months. Especially if it's an endgame source that requires I run it on repeat when only about 15% of gamers will even complete the activity once. For me especially I want to feel like I'm running the best I can for both endgame PvE and PvP, and the difficulty increases have made that need even more relevant. Destiny 2's hamster wheel phase goes on for too long and having loot become unobtainable is problematic for any competitive aspect in D2.

  • I'm just saying a Destiny that Bungie decided to make without player feedback is actually what we have right now, and it's a problem
