Personally, I look up what the catalyst actually adds to the weapon (if anything) and make a determination as to whether or not I think it's worth the effort to get it. There are some that just don't provide a benefit worth all the firey hoops it takes to get the thing, so I don't bother.

The only catalysts I always found ‘annoying’ to going through are the ones for Season Passes (I.e Symmetry, Leviathan’s Breath, Duality, etc.), considering they no longer have that seasonal boost to help them. Any suggestions other than just Mass grinding?

Some are rng drops from certain activities while others are guaranteed by completing a quest. All require kills to unlock once acquired.
