I'm a GenX gamer and I have to say that it's really disappointing that I can't go back and play D2 original content anymore. I was hoping to get back int he game when I found out that original content had been vaulted. So basically, Bungie removed content that I had already paid for. Isn't that illegal in some way? What was I given in return for the content they removed that I paid for? Be better Bungie.

It doesn’t look like you even cared when it was around.

28 RepliesYou pay for access to the content you don’t own it. Bungie didn’t take anything away from you.

Edited by iKARUS: 9/13/2023 9:46:20 PMIt's the business model for most game IP out there now. Several people saw it coming when Fortnite and mobile gaming was on the rise but nobody cared to listen to those who said to put the wallet on hold. Candy crush alone made 600(something) MILLION dollars.**edit: the first year they made that much** for a swap and match game...... And then all the big wigs of the industry exorcist head spun themselves towards that perception of how to run a gaming franchise.

I miss tf out of the red war. I lost my original d2 character when blizzard took destiny away from the blizzard page. That story kept me driving to play the game until the end. Now the new light -blam!- is like “eh, this game is alright” It doesn’t pull you in as much as the red war did. But hey bungie knows best 🤷

If this bothers you this isn’t the place to complain about it. Talk to your government.

2 RepliesNope it’s not. Could care less that old content was removed and I’m a day 1 player.

However in the ToS that we digitally agreed to it pretty much says that Bungie can do whatever they want whenever they want. IMO there should be limitations on this kind of practice but it is fairly common with digital content and video games.
