I'm sure I'll get some "Why are you even posting this?" replies but that's fine. 2 weeks ago I uninstalled this game. It hurt me to do so because I have loved this game since day one. I have gotten sick and tired of the neglect and the greed coming from this company when it comes to Destiny and I feel the need to get on a soap box and say it. It's time for all of us to please stop if we truly want all of these issues to be fixed. If you keep up this addiction they will continue to nickel and dime you and millions of others and make sure this game never reaches It's potential, and/or create another game with the same greedy/predatory practices, stealing more people's money. PLEASE STOP PLAYING DESTINY 2 IF YOU WANT THINGS TO CHANGE. Your complaints will go nowhere. They will give you minimal satiation and go right back to what they have been doing, which is TAKE YOUR MONEY, GIVE YOU LESS OR REHASHED CONTENT, AND NEGLECT YOU. Please cut the cord.

2 RepliesSadly too many addicts still play every single day. I only play an hour max per week these days and just because of fomo. When the game was actually good and fun, i used to spend up to 50 hours per week in the game even tho i work fulltime. This company needs to be neglected asap. They dont deserve us. They dont deserve our valuable lifetime. They deserve failure. With their new upcoming games and with destiny. But then again, they dont need to provide good content because the addicts simply keep running the hamster wheel over and over and over...

4 RepliesYour disrespect/insults/condescension/patronizing does not work on me at all. I actually enjoy the discourse and I am happy for the people who came and posted reasonable agreements/disagreements. I have no ill will towards anyone that disagrees with me.

Take a deep breath. Destiny is not that important. You should not feel hurt about a video game being bad.
If you keep up this addiction
It's not that deep. If people wanna buy a game they will, if they don't they won't.
stealing more people's money.
What are you even talking about? All of us willingly bought what we bought.
Your complaints will go nowhere.
While I agree, these things typically die out once a new trailer is out.

You forgot to delete your characters so its not real about quitting Destiny.

3 RepliesEdited by vxvxTITANxvxv: 7/14/2023 5:09:56 PMI think bungie just needs to simply start playing and enjoying their own game again. bungie games are always best when they’re active in their community. It’s like a chef cooking for everyone, but never tries there own food, never eats/socializes with their customers, and generally doesn’t even care about cooking. Products are usually better and more practical when the creators utilize their own products.

4 Replies5000+hrs. Stopped playing in Feb. Didn't buy LF. Don't miss it one bit.

The bottom line is the game is free to try...you have to pay for the real content...now is it woryh 100..hell no...i waited for the summer sale and got it for 50.. more reasonable

I've been an active player of this franchise since October 2014. Experiencing Bungies descent into greed was disappointing. Forsaken was the best year Destiny had (With Taken King as a close second). But after Forsaken, Activision departed and that's when things went downhill. The only standout content that shipped since the departure of Activision was the Witch Queen campaign (Besides Season of the Haunted and some parts of Seraph, the rest of the WQ year sucked), the 30th anniversary and Season of Dawn. Sidenote: Red War was a great campaign. D2 Y1 only gets hated on because of Curse of Osiris.

2 RepliesI'm fairly happy with the state of the game. I'll keep paying and playing, because I enjoy it. There are things I would change about PVP. 1) I wish there were more new maps. 2) I wish more good players played, so more games can be competitive. 3) I am also tired of the stale sandbox, even though it is the most balanced we have ever had it. 4) Players complain about Rift, but really, it's the random respawn points that bother me. 5) I come across the occasional laggy player, but Destiny is still miles better than most other games 6) I wish Bungie would remove Power advantages in Trials (just make players reach 1800 to play, and everyone after that point is capped to deal the same damage) Even though there are flaws, the game is still good. It's much better than the other games I've tried recently, like Diablo and MW2.

3 RepliesWhen are you guys posting this every day gonna realize the fomo addicts alone would sustain the game? These people are either satisfied with the game or incapable of stepping away. These posts will never accomplish anything.
-
2 RepliesWay ahead of you. I stopped playing years ago when Activision threw this barren game in the trash. I did too, threw it in the trash. Been playing other games since and felt really good about it. Won’t buy any future products from these guys ever again. Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!🤣

After many years of constantly play D2 I have finally pulled myself away from the borefest it has become. Haven't logged in for over 1 month and I'm not missing it

4 RepliesI actually was going to invest in their game........ but with the BBB responses I am NOT satisfied with the demonstrated "commitment" on their end around tech support.....

Good post. I agree with your sentiments, and have called for a boycott multiple times. Sad to say it isn’t going to work. I just stay away from the cash grab shop, and play with my friends and have a laugh. I play a lot, but I still have friends that play regularly. If I didn’t I’d never have come back. I did a three year “boycott”, but still bought expansions when they were on sale, played for a while then quit again. Bought WQ on Cyber Monday at less than half price. Have had a blast since. Still annoyed about the issues with the game and Bungie. Will not buy another thing from them, after Final Shape. Even if it’s everything we asked for. I know that makes me part of the problem, but I’m having fun playing with my friends.

So let's say you want to buy a Ford. But then Ford says they will go out of business in a year, stop making cars. Then would you still buy a Ford anyways? No. Why invest in something you know is going to stop being supported. Better yet, why would you buy a Ford if you know they are gonna go bankrupt? That would just show that their product must not be that amazing in the first place. You don't want that! Bungie is lying. Bungie lies all the time. This time they are saying "and Beyond" about after Final Shape. We ALL know Bungie would be hyping what is next after Final Shape, this close to the end of this saga. Heck, they are hyping Marathon with a trailer and that probably will be after this alleged "beyond". Bungie has one more DLC to sellbyou before they can admit that "this something having to do with Vex or something", is nothing. So you can buy Final Shape if you want. Who cares? Destiny statistically is just barely profitable as stats over the years, versus how much they sell content for, shows they won't be profitable anymore with the steady decline in players since CoO. I love how Streamers use "They hit records on Steam!" to convince themselves their jobs aren't at jeopardy. Um yeah. Cause it used to be on Blizzard, till it got migrated to Steam, and it's just a matter of a few console players switching to PC. The OVERALL numbers are declining.

I’m with u!!! Veteran of the first bungie day boycott

1 ReplyIf everyone stopped playing they'd probably just give up on Destiny
-
2 RepliesFood for Thought - Consumers have more power than corporations. Vote with your wallet! The only time this community has been able to force Bungie to stop being stubborn about their directional decisions for this game & acknowledge + address the community's feedback was during Curse of Osiris. When Bungie took Vanilla D2 in a direction that the community wasn't into, the player base voted with their money & play time. Sales for Curse of Osiris & Warmind were poor & the player population tanked to the point that Bungie almost had to close up shop. Call it a boycott. Call it apathy for the franchise. Whatever you want to call it - it forced Bungie either to change or go out of business AND brought us arguably one of the best expansions & years of content the franchise has ever seen - Forsaken.

I stopped playing for 8 months when COD came out, not because of ill will, just because that's what my friends were going to be playing. I came back and guess what, nothing has really changed, other then some new content. If you arent enjoying the game, stop playing because you are wasting your own time.
-
5 RepliesYou made your own choice. Why do you need others to make the same one? Why not let them decide what’s right for them? Like you (presumably) did…

4 RepliesEdited by J: 7/15/2023 6:52:47 AMThe game has one big dlc left, this is it. This is the game nothing is going to change aside from what they do in FS.

3 RepliesKnowing Bungie, rather than make the game better and doing better, Bungie would let the game die and turn off the servers for both Destiny 1 and 2. Yeah, Bungie's that bad.
-
Edited by Major-Payne: 7/15/2023 3:41:38 AMIs it that time of the year again already?

7 RepliesWhen everyone quit playing before Forsaken, Bungie was making plans to just shut off the servers. I guess that's one way to fix the issues.
