Even I can’t defend these changes.

Seriously bungie. This whole new “enemies will always be x levels above you” thing isn’t fun. It ruins the power fantasy, The mod system is so barebones that it is practically an after thought, and the strand subclass has cool downs that seem to be far too long for the minimal damage they do in pve. Base of 1:45 for the grapple is just too high. The difficulty change is the biggest issue for me at current. There’s no reason a seasonal playlist activity should feel more difficult that legendary content from last season. I can defend the rough story, but this is just making things in fun.

  • I just spent 15 minutes chipping a boss in a lost sector. That's how insane this has become. It's not "challenging", it's mind numbingly tedious.

    • The power subtraction AND the continuous spawning enemies make it tedious. Literally kill One and 2 come back

    • Part of the blame goes to the players. A lot of people loved that the seasonal activity was a fixed power level. I hated it immediately. It might be fun the first time around, but having to run something constantly where your under powered was gonna get old fast. Imagine if the regular strike playlist was -30 power levels. How fast would that -blam!- get old?

      • When I hear about difficulty in fps games, giving enemies more health is about the last thing I consider makes it more difficult, that just makes it more annoying. I think the core issue with destiny 2 is the AI is... not very bright. Certainly not anywhere near the Halo 3 days.

          All classes have cool downs too long now, no grenade should have a cool down of 2 and a half minutes. Dodges, taking a minute to recharge is ridiculous. All because of Pvp complainers, stop ruining pve for pvp, and it ain't even that bad in pvp, it's usually a skill issue! I'm not the best player, but my god there hasn't been a seriously op gun in this game for years. Yet Bungie keeps nerfing everything cause of tryhards and crybabies Artificial difficulty by making everything a bullet sponge and making enemies just keep respawning, is not only annoying as hell, not fun, but solo players are basically being shafted hard.

        • I agree, and about the power fantasy… There are some games that should be power fantasies, especially PvE games. Look at Doom, it’s based off becoming more powerful. CoD zombies starts you really weak and you get to be super powerful, something (that used to be) done well. These are incredible games that use this and have been super successful (I know there are more, just can’t think of any) Destiny 2 should be a power fantasy, so when they nerf and try to limit it, it’s not good. I get power creep is a thing, but the point is not to make it a survival game where you feel pressed to actually fight the enemies, it should be that experience where you feel powerful and are going out to challenge them. That’s why this change is so bad

          • The problem is they made to many changes to make it difficult at once. They changed mods which got rid of what people were used to and buffed the enemies and made add respawns super quick. It’s just to much and it really makes the content feel bad to more people. I was excited to do legendary, even was enjoying it, until I got to the second to last mission and was forced to also use strand which has no fragments or anything on it. Really killed my enjoyment of that difficulty.

            • What? They scaled enemies above you? I love hard content and soloed all Soulsborne games. But scaling is 100% lame and you nailed it...kills the immersion or purpose of leveling.

              • Agreed. I think that this hits me more than the rest of it. The grind is just too much of a chore now. I was beyond excited and now I am depressed. I tried to go again today, but the only fun thing I have done was gambit.

                    Well once u reach certain power there is absolutely no need to participate in activities to progress. So game will b moreless dead in 4 weeks because active players will have no need to play gambit/strikes/appear on planets and so on. Get just enought power lvl , cap season pass n do some raids and thats it. There are no rewards from seasonpass after lvl 100 anyway
