Player sentiment on crucible is the worst it has ever been. So many veteran players who used to enjoy going into 6's are now saying it's their least favorite activity. Anyone with a 1.0 kd has to sweat their -blam!- off for rewards that are simply lack luster.
Needless to mention ever since sbmm's 4th return, it's been nothing but constant lag, rubber banding, long as hell queue times. It's a mess.

1 ReplyIf CBMM is so much better, why did Bungie change it in the first place ?, that's what I never hear from these complaint posts, they list reasons why SBMM is bad, but don't mention how CBMM is good "Why can't they just have a CBMM and a SBMM quickplay ?" Because the top players would have the same problem, just playing each other, they want cannon fodder plain and simple ,that's the driving force behind all there complaints and they can't hide that fact behind connections , same reason they are so against freelance

8 RepliesThis is not a real SBMM system, it is a bad player protection system. I have on average players in my lobbies from .8 KD to 1.8 KD. There is no way a real SBMM system would allow this much of a skill gap to compete in the same pool. This is just a system that keeps average and good players completely away from bad players, and these bad players are the only people who are seeing better matches. The large pool that is mixing average, good and sometimes elite players together is very sweaty. The skill gap is just too wide in this pool putting the average player at the bottom of it. lt's causing these average players to feel they need to sweat and stack to compete. High skilled players who are now having to compete against fewer lower skill players feel they also have to also sweat a bit more now to keep their high KD and help their high ego. You have just about everyone in this large pool now sweating because Bungie decided to introduce bad player protection and the average skilled player is the one really getting screwed over IMO.

4 RepliesCan't have fun without stomping on casuals? Just sad...

Or remove bad players from SBMM.

2 RepliesNo it’s needed they need to add it to more modes actually

53 RepliesHow do you think less skilled or new players feel when someone with experience wipes the floor with them every match. More experienced or just better players are now fighting closer to their own skill level so having to work for their wins. This is how it should be. If you don't like skill based matchmaking play Trials as that will never have skill based matchmaking as it is a hard core/pure competitive game mode.

It's fine as it is now ..SBMM rules...

1 ReplyPvp is dying under sbmm, 200K LESS daily pvp players then under cbmm and bungie want to pretend it's not only ok but goof for the game 🤣😂
-
6 RepliesI agree PVP is a mess, but it is not because of SBMM. I see all the time CBMM crowd trying to link SBMM to the lag, but that is an issue with P2P system PVP engine is using. I personally do not see the 'long as hell queue times' you are talking about PVP with CBMM was a -blam!- show in my opinion. At least now everybody sweats the same, and not only some.

Edited by A_mo: 1/29/2023 4:43:34 AMI think we should all try to predict when it will get really bad if left to its own devices. I'm thinking definitely during the first half of lightfall year. Most likely sometime in the season after the dlc drops. That would actually put it on basically the same time table as what happened with it before it got turned off last time. Its never ever going to get turned off this time though. One good thing is that I've never seen the happiness levels higher than they've been since it got turned on... Oh wait.

2 RepliesSweating and lag were definitely apart of pvp when there wasn’t SBMM stop lying like it’s only a SBMM thing ..

More maps, more maps that's it. This will salve everything. Give me 10 maps and I can be beaten by frostbolt and his tryhard friends... 😀

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 1/28/2023 4:46:24 PMNah it’s great. If you don’t like it just exploit the system by joining a low skill players team and get pulled into low skill lobbies like all the streamers are doing. Notice how they are all suddenly playing quickplay and dropping 50 bombs again? Lag is not going anywhere until p2p goes. That is the real enemy.

There's a tiny bit of sbmm with a whole lot of lag. I don't understand how anyone can play with all the crossplay lag there is.

16 RepliesI don’t even play qp anymore, it’s cancer. Maybe 20 games total this season and last season combined.

2 RepliesPersonally I'm not so sure SBMM is being used properly. Yesterday I played Trials for the first time with 2 players with similar skill level to me and after checking the tracker there was always people with 2000+ elo in the opposition team and got wrecked. Now in normal crucible I play on a 1.2kd not the best but also not the worst but these players are so good that it makes you feel like your dogsh*t.

Edited by I am kevin: 1/28/2023 2:28:48 PMIndient mind it anymore.. sure it’s an pain in the -blam!- but if it’s for the greater good Idd be fine with it.. I don’t want bungie to come out and say that the player populaition is going up tho. Because now it feel like I am suffering and don’t have i clue why. And also I would like there to be a place where we can test are true skill… because Honestly with sbmm being everywhere the only way I can test my skill is inv friends and see if they can hang in my lobby’s or for that fact me in there lobby’s to see if I need to improve. How it stands now I have no clue am I good or am I bad where can improve no clue..
