Soooo.... Khvostov exotic AR?
Anyone else here miss this gun? I mean it's a primary so pvp and add clear would be all lys good for but I want it to return alongside SRL. Anyone agree?

I would just prefer they turn into a legendary and give it random rolls, in D1 the exotic was only good in one mode anyway

It was okay, but mainly collected Vault dust due to how it functioned and how it scaled damage. I certainly do not want it back as an Exotic though.

8 RepliesNot for me. I prefer new guns instead of reworked D1 guns. Things like Touch of Malice, The Last Word, The Truth, Outbreak Prime and so on went straight to my vault never to be used in D2 because I had them all in D1. We need to stop returning old assets to the game, it's lazy and has nothing to do with the lore or story line.

idea to update it. intrinsic perk - META - long press reload to change firing mode. Full auto, Burst, Semi Automatic exotic perk - META Boost - Full Auto - landing a shot slightly increases the damage of the next, stacks until a shot is missed or mag is reloaded (this type of stacking applies to all firing modes). - Burst - landing a shot from a burst (just one bullet from a burst needs to land to proc) increases stability and range. stacks - Semi Auto - landing a shot increases target acquisition and RoF. stacks normal perks greatly increased handling greatly increased reload speed

If not the exotic version maybe at least a craftable legendary it deserves at least that before the final bit of story, it started with old reliable, it should end with old reliable. That’s just me though.

Tbh the Khvostov was kind of a meh gun im pretty sure it’s only recognition was over the nostalgia of being an exotic version of the starting weapon.

I love my Khovostov, still use it to this very day in Crucible! Havent used it in like a week or so bc life but I friggin love that gun

Honestly, now that weapon crafting is a thing, this gun might reach more of its potential. It was a cool idea but got old pretty quickly. Now that you can perpetually level up crafted guns, it could get a second life.

No it was pointless then and it would be pointless now. It was a gimmick exotic whose exotic perks only worked with some ROF modes and fire types. If anything bring back dragons breath, dregs promise, super good advice, and necrochasm

Not really... it was meh in D1. They were not bold enough with the implementation. If you want to do something like that, it needs to really transform to pulse or scout, not just an AR with gimped firing mode.

3 RepliesYou know since Wrath and Crota are the last two raids to be reprised and Crota might become a dungeon and we already have Wrath’s exotic (Outbreak), we might see Khovstov be the replacement drop for reprised Wrath
