The dreaming city strike is perhaps the reason why I believe in my humble opinion that health gating bosses through mechanics is lazy on their end. D1 players would remember the golden days of bullet sponge bosses like Valus Ta’arc, The Nexus Mind, The Undying Mind, The Archon Priest and the Psion Flayers. Fights were the bosses minions were just as dangerous as the main problem. And granted, Strikes where a certain enemy is shielding the boss like the Light Blade, Sepiks and SABER-2 are alright, The Sedia battle alone is perhaps the WORST. The boss is shielded from the start (Why?) then I have to play hot potato with a relic orb to knock out shields all the while Taken Psions that HEAVILY duplicate have Arc Burn and can shred ANYONE in their path. Also, In an environment where jumping is essential and falling is your death, This boss is seemingly DESIGNED to tick the player off with a push attack and whether or not that is the intended purpose isn’t the overall point Im trying to make: Your strike is annoying to navigate simply to farm a weapon and seemingly impossible if it ever enters Grand Master Rotation. Please consider any possible changes to it.
