I wanna know who prefers to say the word "adjective" like the first option, or the second option.
It's not a very common word for people to say, but I've heard it said in both ways and am curious as to which way y'all say it here.

1 ReplyEdited by LahDsai: 6/21/2022 4:01:08 AMWhen I'm teaching, I'll pronounce the "c". When speaking casually, it's usually dropped. Do a similar thing with "orange" and "crayon". "Or-anj" and "cray-yon" when teaching, "ornj" and "crayn" when speaking casually.

I say "a-je-tiv" and I don't know anybody who says anything else. Idk, I think it's wrong but whatever.

1 ReplyAnybody saying the second option is just mispronouncing the word. There’s a c there that makes a “k” sound; it’s not silent.
