Bungie, please buff the drop rate for Opulent Keys & Attuned weapons
This hamster wheel concept is getting old Bungie, could you please buff the drop rate for attuned weapons & opulent keys? 🔑
Edit: wasn’t expecting this much reaction and kudos to players that successfully crafted the Austringer, Drang, etc., but I presume you grinded like hell in order to craft those weapons!

Key drop rate is fine. Red bordered weapons on the other hand need a drop rate increase.

1 ReplyAlso, the red border drop rate from focusing engrams is ridiculously low. At 27 umbral energies each, you can spend hours grinding for energies and get nothing in return. I have yet to see a red border from focusing.

(Off topic) It's like when there is lack of content, they increase the grind. Maybe it's just me. Hamster wheel indeed OP. All to get us to grind more for their "numbers". Meanwhile, I've gotten 1000000000 Riptide Fusion rifle drops......

My experience seems to be slightly different. I'm getting red border weapons left, right, and center. A semi-regular supply of keys though? Nope.

Key drop rate are OK. Red border weapon drops suck beyond all suckydom! Actually you know what it feels like when you open your 15th straight chest with no red border weapons? Like being crushed by a champion ogre or champion shield slammed into oblivion. But at least we have a ghost and/or teammates to revive us from those champions!

1 Replyya, it's a -blam!- grind but you get a god roll at the end of it. It's why I still have my Mindbender's :( If you don't want god rolls then don't farm for them... It's the whole point of this game. Farming for better gear. If they just gave everyone the best stuff there would be no point in playing at all. This is actually the easiest god roll weapons farm I've ever seen. At the end it's a guaranteed Perfect roll with bonus stats. There's no "meh it's good enough" rolls... perfect ones.

3 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 6/12/2022 5:42:51 PMFor the love of god, allow me to store more than 1 Opulent Key (maybe 10 stack) So I can grind through the “event” when there’s actually folks doing it, without having to leave to go get the Opulent chest (they’re for collecting after clearing out all the junk/blues/random engrams in inventory/postmaster) As for the Redbox weapons, once you’ve reached the 5 needed (from drops/purchased via Crown) for crafting, it should never give a player [i]that[/i] weapon again (there’s no need)

3 RepliesLet's face it, this season isn't exactly choc-full of content. What there is though are some very good weapons. I would put a full crafted version of a lot of these guns (Austringer, Beloved, etc.) up there with adept weapons. In other words, they should not be easy to get. I have been grinding my -blam!- OFF and finally got an Austringer. And yes, it is incredible in the Crucible. But it's also the only opulent weapon that I have unlocked the blueprint (or whatever it's called) for to craft. Keep grinding, my friend. Upping the drop rate would saturate the game with more and more people running the best guns and we don't want that. Save them for the people who embrace the grind.

What we’re all (probably) contemplating is whether BHQ will, at some future stage, completely change the whole crafting system, thereby (possibly) invalidating all the hamster hours invested in crafting those g-rolls or simply do away with it altogether. These thoughts aren’t idle thoughts or passing thoughts, they’re ever-present…because we know what BHQ says / does - can change in a twinkle of the scarab lord’s beady eye. FWIW: I’ve slowly started to craft weapons…but I do so with a lack of confidence, ie, in that once I’ve crafted my handful of ‘go to’ g-roll weapons, BHQ will move the goalposts once again. I’m also a WarFramer (MR24.5) - so I’m very used to the weapon / armour crafting experience; as, no doubt, are many of you. So, crating stuff ain’t an issue in and of itself.🤖 Besides all of the a/m - red border drop rates need retuning++ Also, one gets the distinct impression that opulent keys are becoming less frequent drops when looting chests, especially whilst farming the two areas (Pools / Gardens) on Leviathan, eg, recently, I’d get one opulent key between looting chests 5-10, whereas before, it’d be between chests 1-3 +/-. Of course, it could all be just my imagination…or maybe, it ain’t… Hmmm!? 🤨 Just my 2d worth. YMMV. Cheers! MDGA 👈

I just focus on nightmare containment since they drop from there anyways. After a tier 3 and if you still have plenty of dreads left? Refresh the instance and do another tier 3. But as another person said, carrying 1 is a little ridiculous but eh.

1 ReplyThey needed to make a containment give keys 100% of the time or make keys drop red borders. The fact I had to wait weeks to focus a red border is insane.

500+ opulent umbral energy spent focusing weapons, over half way through my second rank reset, ZERO REDBORDERS OBTAINED via weapon focusing. Ive exclusively gotten all my redborder drops from the chests(1 beloved, 1 austringer, 3 multi-tool, 2 durang). Thats my horror story. Top that.

5 RepliesThe keys are fine, it's like a 50% drop chance after running around Leviathan and keeping track of my key drops. But red borders for opulent weapons, holy smokes, I was up past 3AM focusing damn Beloveds back to back after being stuck on 4/5 done since the start of the week, it shouldn't take me three (almost four) weeks to craft a weapon that doesn't drop from a raid/dungeon

Opulent Key drop rate seems fine to me. DSR weapons could be higher, but I don't think it's necessary. Soon enough you'll be able to buy your guaranteed 1 per week and then craft what you want.

2 RepliesI get the semi frequently. Only bad luck I'm having is getting deepsight Drangs. Only gotten 1 since the season started and I already crafted all the other opulent weapons.
