Overload SMG/Auto Rifle is worthless. I simply defult to Void Vortex grenade.

I don't know if it is possible for you to fix them in anyway but until they are changed, I simply see no other option. Maybe that is why I love Posops battlefield enough to reset it 3 times already.           • First off, if it EVER has anything to worry ARs in PvE, it’s going to be under performing for anything other than a minor. Same to be said for scouts.

            • I'm still wondering why we still only have one exotic with intrinsic Overload (tied behind a raid, btw), but we've got multiple unstoppable and barrier exotics. Some older exotics were even given intrinsic champion mods, but for some reason, overload has been untouched.

            • The only option for smg is OSTE exotic legend ones usually do not do the job very well. I usually go with the vortex option anyway with max discip.

              It doesn't matter how many times we say this, Bungie keeps giving us auto/SMG overload mods. The story is still the same after years: either stop giving us these type of mods or fix them to work better on overloads. Like many other things in this game, Bungie needs to test with simulated latency. "It works fine on my machine" doesn't cut in on a P2P network. We play in real world conditions, they need to test in real world conditions. If they tested right, it would be so obvious that overloads need to be retuned to disable on 2 bullets vs 2 clips, so they actually work consistently.

            • Gotta hit them crits my man. When you do, any rpm auto works well. Combine with a sleeper and you don’t even need to get near the overlord. ⚡️

                • Yeah its rough. From what I have observed it not only takes consistent fire to proc the overload rounds, but also it seems to have a numerical measure of almost half of the clip. I could be wrong but I've glimpsed at the rounds left in the mag many times when the 'overload rounds' indicator comes up on the screen and it always seems to be ~ 45-48% of the clip spent before it procs I believe that is why it procs easier on smgs with short clips vs an AR with 50+ in the Mag.

                • Bro there are some dope -blam!- SMGs right now. Osteo striga straight wrecks add clearing Funnelweb is basically recluse The raid smg is good too it kind of feels like huckleberry Seriously give em a try I’m not usually an smg guy either but I branched out to these and enjoyed each one of them for different reasons . I currently have all 3 in my inventory

                  • Two friends and I ran the 1580 NightFall today. I made sure I brought Divinity, which really set those teleporting Captains on their butts. I also had Void Overload grenades as back up. But Bungle really needs to sort their Description of the NightFall, especially the Shields for the enemy, which they list as only being Arc and Void. All of the Shanks have Solar Shields, and when you get to the Boss, it's wave after wave after wave of them. I brought a Solar Machine gun to deal with them, but true to Bungles incompetence, I never received a single Brick of heavy, despite killing tonnes of enemies with my Scout primary and having an Machine Gun ammo finder on my character. One person finally left and got Ticcun's Bow to deal with them and that's all he was doing through the entire encounter - shooting Solar Shanks.

                      Overload on SMGs is god tier, Overload Auto is a silent fart. It makes you gag, but you forget about it once it goes away. Overload grenade would be better.... If you know. Bungie didn't nerf ability regen across the board. Depends on the weapon your using, but if your expecting an SMG or Auto to kill a champ then your expecting to much.... or just not using Tarrabah or Cerberus.

                      • SMG works well. Auto never seems to do well for me. Don’t know what it is, but SMG is way more consistent.

                      • Overload SMG has been the opposite of useless for me. Stunning a single champion about 6 times in an instant. Activating all champion stunning perks across the board.

                        • Only Divinity works as an instant stun as far as weapons go. Everything else takes too long. Damn -blam!- overloads go crazy teleporting as well. It’s like they’re on crack

                            • There have been a few instances where my overload rounds didn't stun the captains...its a bit annoying when combined with how much they teleport around. I've switched to grenades anyway, with vortex ones doing just fine.
