sorry for being late to discover this but does this mean that all techeuns that serve mara sov are ghostless as well? im still in the process of learning more about the awoken people and their origin 'the distributary'. apparently they were humans that escaped sol before it collapsed on board a ship called 'the yang liwei' that was captained by alis li aka alice li, first queen of the awoken. the ship and crew got trapped in a space-time singularity (black hole) but survived because they used stasis crystals that protected their organisms from thermal erosion. i was not aware of this but the humans who turned awoken were trying to escape the sol system because of the traveler! they were hoping to find another place to call home that didn't have a traveler. so alice was the first to awake from stasis, mara second and ~ 900 more. eventually alice and mara became rivals and mara decided to split and returned back to our sol system in a ship called 'amethyst'. anyway, im still digesting the lore so i don't know what this has to do with anything in the witch queen, yet. as far as i know zavala and crow are the only npc awoken lightbearers. side note: there is an interesting connection i drew with ghost immaru (aka first ghost) and an awoken male techeun named imar: imar favoured petras sister pinar during techeun training and she holds a deep seeded grudge against him. the only other awoken she can't stand besides crow is zavala... perhaps imar is zavala? i think it's a strange coincidence that imar and immaru are so closely related ito name spelling and sound. Bungie always does this and i think it's to help us get a clue, eg: uldren used to be uldwyn, mara maybe yara, etc.
