Unfortunately if you post stuff like this well 100% get low brow replys .. Bungie let this kinds of behaviours fester way too long now it's almost ingrained and difficult to remove. If ya wanna invoke real change extremely large sections of the community will have to boycott trials for an extended period of time which simply won't happen so..as this current point in time I would suggest focusing on other parts of the destiny directory of weekly resets.

It's sad and shameful it is necessary because people want to play with their friends or share in the glory but make little to no effort to improve themselves or their approach to the game. Surely after you have enjoyed the honor of getting to the Lighthouse hundreds of times, you understand it's better to give others the chance at the experience and exposure to the more competitive levels of the game.
