Bungie doesn't care. To them, we aren't their fellow players or their loyal community. To them, we're just a bunch of gullible cash cows. Why do you think Eververse is still going strong? Because there are people who are fine with throwing over $10 at Bungie for Dinosaur armor. And some of those people are the ones complaining about the dungeons being $10 each. Really? You're willing to pay $10 for cosmetics, but not actual content? What kind of message do you think that sends to Bungie?

 • This. Theyve given up trying to bring in new players, they're milking the addicts to pay for the potential lost newcomers.

Forsaken was some of the best content added to D2 and yet nobody came back. Millions already lost and left the game and still didn't come back after Forsaken. Activision saw this and it probably felt like a lost cause. Imagine throwing everythting into the game to save it and then it failed. That's why Activision is no longer here. They wanted the game to be successful. But it failed instead after throwing everything into it. Look what we have now. Milking cow everywhere you turn. Despair is in the air.

No thanks. Let Bungie die. Oh, they don't have to if they weren't so freak'in greedy. The greed's dripping from the walls.

Best thing to do is leave without buying anything from them. Send a message with your wallet and your time. Drop the support. Best thing a gamer can do.

Come to find out, matchmaking is really hurting, you might find 1 or 2 players on Europa (if that), no wonder Bungie went to Crossplay, not enough players to support them on one platform so they had to combine all players together. It's scary watching the train wreck.

Crossplay is a desperate attempt to fix matchmaking because of the dwindling playerbase. Now this milking of content fiasco. You are absolutely correct, it's a train wreck!

 • Once the festival of the lost is over, there's nothing at all here for players who didn't get BL. I'm gone! There's nothing here for players who did get BL, it's nothing but grind. Back in D1, you didn't have grind like you do in D2, you had a few bounties, run strikes, do a raid or two and you weren't told how to play the game. You could just go and explore. There was a saying in the beginning of D1, you see that mountain over there, you can go there, well that wasn't always true. At least in Fallout 76 (not pushing the game, it's garbage, but at least the content what little there is, is free, just don't buy anything with money in the Atom shop, earned Atoms is fine.) you might actually be able to go to that mountain over there and explore it, just before you get "Disconnected from server" notification.

 • Seasonal content has always been a failure for me. That's the time a quit the game, when Activision left. The game has fallen short for me in terms of quality content. I've been waiting for something good to happen. It's not happening. Now this. No way I'll be coming back after this mess. It's not getting better then, it ain't getting better now or ever. Cash cowing ain't my kind of gaming.

 • For me, it was Shadowkeep, I got all the seasons and it wasn't quite at the start (maybe a little) I started to notice the grind, especially when the next part of the season started, then it became apparent that all you're doing in the game is running in place gathering a little bit of something to fill a tiny bucket (of sorts) only to rinse and repeat, that's not content. I did a wait and see for BL hoping things might change, but the more I heard, saw and watched Destiny 2 videos about BL, the more I was like no, no more! The whole stasis thing being beyond OP in crucible (I suck in the crucible) and nothing being done to balance like in the past was a clear indication stasis was being used to push or force people to buy BL. I still said no. Best thing I've done.

Yes, that is what the game has become.
I did a wait and see for BL hoping things might change, but the more I heard, saw and watched Destiny 2 videos about BL, the more I was like no, no more!
Best thing I've done.
Yes, best thing that happened to my gaming habit as well. Bright minds think alike!

They'll make Gjallerhorn OP, you can't live without it, it'll melt any boss, 1 hit kill, it'll change your life, then they'll nerf it so hard it won't kill a shank. Nope.

No wonder they call the third strike, and you're out.

 • I've posted it before, but if Bungie un-sunsetted everything they sunset and brought everything back, didn't sunset the Tangled Shore or anything else, combined BL with WQ with all dungeons, anniversary and Gjallerhorn for a price tag of $50 - $60 max, they'd have so many players and they'll still make a killing. It's called putting butts in the seats, that's it right there. They might have a few takers at $1000 a seat, but they'll have more takers at $10 a seat. Oh sure, there's Eververse over there, if you want. The more players, the more likely people will buy from Eververse, it's as simple as that. Brother, I've given Bungie the answer to their player base problem right there. I get nothing for this suggestion, they (Bungie) gets it all! Will they listen, no.

 • 80+ million users across 7 years, only 3 remain. Activision 100% jumped bcoz new games bring in new blood and make bank, expansions just sell to current players.

And some of them are playing the free version. The number of free players is unaccountable.
