I have spent 20 hours playing in solo mode. Your SBMM Is horrible. I’ve been consistently matched against full teams most have gone flawless and several are cheating. Taking no damage, skipping on the screen, and have way higher KDR than I. I should have been matched against other players with a similar KDR Aand not against full teams. Just today 0-30 in one hour. How is that fun for anyone?
Thanks all for the feed back. In using that feedback I will.....
1. Attempt to get good.
2. Once I am good then a LFG might work as I will no longer suck, have a high KD, and know what I am doing. (I believe that covers most of the LFG posts I see)
I was mistaken on SBMM that indeed should have been CBMM. However, it does appear that I am not the only person who is having these issues. Possibly some helpful suggestions for Bungie on the matchmaking might be in order.?
Or does the community still want to troll?
A suggestion might be - if they wish CBMM still then include ratings as well?
some mechanism where the contestants are not outclassed.
As a side note I don't mind losing rounds, I just want them to be competitive and not blow outs one way or the other.

22 RepliesHow are you matching against flawless teams when the flawless pool is enabled 🤔 something isn't checking out with this arc of a story.
-
Agreed, not really good at PvP but it was actually fun the first week it came back. Now I use it to remind myself why to never do it.

55 RepliesSBMM doesn’t exist in trials. It’s in Elimination, but not Trials. Trials uses CBMM. Why the pinnacle, end game, prestigious, PVP activity doesn’t have SBMM is beyond me. It should be the best of the best duking it out to see who comes out on top. Not the top 0.5% 5-0 stomping players with 0.4 KDs all the way to flawless. I’m not a terrible player, I average a 1.3 KD in trials. But there’s no reason in hell why I should get matched back to back against players that were literally in the top 0.5% for KD and winrate.

2 RepliesResetters are circumventing the intention of the flawless pool by not going flawless until the very last moment. To a resetter, artifically buffing their KD or "helping" others for viewers or under the table payments is more important than the flawless reward. Especially since most of them already have a great roll on the reward. Bungie should not allow the purchase of a new card nor the reset of your existing card until you have three losses with at least 5 deaths in each of those three losses on your current card.

It's card-based matchmaking, not SBMM. Unfortunately most solos are gonna have a hard time especially against 3 stacks. It's just the way it is. It's meant to give solo players a shot at getting trials loot where they litterally haven't been able to before. I'd recommend that if you play solo trials and vibe with some of the randos you get, send them an invite and see if they wanna group up. Over time you guys can build chemistry and hopefuilly start to do better.

I love how the trials community complain about kd to solo players we can all have a 2.3 kd in 3 stacks but when u match a 3 stack carry against 3 solos its going to be hard to maintain a postive kd
-
Don't solo. Simple fix.
-
4 RepliesTrials needs restrictive loadouts. so much cheesy -blam!- -blam!- its not even funny
-
4 RepliesI will still say trials now vs what it was last season is way easier. And people that complain about going in solo should look at fire team match making because l see a lot of people trying to get there flawless seal and are looking for Virgin players to help.

7 RepliesEdited by Dude Abides 227: 10/19/2021 4:09:20 AMThe issue is there are too many solo players who have no business playing solo. If you lack basic situational awareness, you need a team. Lost two final flawless games tonight, both we were up but my lovely blueberries held on to their supers. The issue is, if you're really bad, own it but make sure ya three stack to spare the rest of us. Everyone deserves to play and have fun, it's a video game. Just want those who struggle to get a team, comms help a lot when you are lacking game awareness.

1 Replybest part about trials solos is blocking the weakest link teammates you get.

Edited by DHawk12: 10/19/2021 6:17:35 AMTrials mm is connection based + card based (wins only). “Sbmm” will activate after ~5 blowout losses then deactivates after ~3 games/wins, something like that. There is no “solo mode”, solo queuing plays no factor in mm just like every other non-freelance mode. Freelance releases next week. True sbmm has no place in trials unless rep/loot is scaled by our “skill level”. A 3000 elo player to get 5+ adepts at lighthouse while a 500 elo player gets a chance at an adept, multiple “tiers” in between. But even then, sbmm is bad.

I got 5 wins this week as a solo. Lol 1 - 10 today. Lots of 5-4 losses but not very fun overall. Last weekend for me of Trials. Still enjoying control

1 ReplyIf your going to play solo then cry about match making don’t expect people to baby you in their response. That’s like jumping off a building and crying because the ground attacked you. If anything I would say bungie match making is doing a great job. It’s trying to teach you something important and apparently you spent 20 hours ignoring that lesson. Seeing as your stubbornly not going to listen to obvious I’m forced to conclude your only goal in posting is baiting true but negative comments to further play the victim.

This is the worst matchmaking ever I'm a solo I'll go to trials 2 v 3 most of the time same in freelance survival. Plus I haven't go flawless yet and I'm fighting flawless squad most of the time is this keep going in quiting going back to Apex
-
The games player to player connection is dogshit the enemy players has no animation but you’re waiting a whole second to switch to a weapon
-
My favorite part of trials matchmaking is getting randoms every match going up against 3 stacks like really you're telling me that you couldn't match the 3 stacks together instead of the 5 randoms who are more than likely just aiming for the pinnacle
-
It is time to exit your imaginary world. matchmaking in destiny is a casino. Nothing more, nothing less. It will remain so until the end of time.
-
People are gaming the flawless pool and staging flawed to match worse teams
-
I feel like you have unreal expectations.... Maybe find a team or wait for freelance?
-
I’m not going to say you’re wrong about SBMM sucking in this game however the being matched against flawless dudes all weekend and they are cheating is a lie. You’ve never been flawless and cheating in this game is so much harder than it has ever been. It’s a harsh truth but maybe you get screwed by the MM in this game and you face people that are just better than you. Don’t throw hack accusations though and say their matchmaking pool when they separate it on sundays is broken because it’s not.

46 RepliesEdited by Rogue: 10/18/2021 5:25:24 AMAnything is possible when you lie ✨ According to your post, you are the only normal player in trials. Everyone else is a flawless, cheating, God etc etc 😴 Heard it all before, you’re the only consistent variable yada yada, go practice your aim. There, that saved us a lot of time. Edit: look, I was trying to be funny, but I don’t want to downplay your situation. I’m sure what you’ve described in your post is genuinely how you feel. However, I think you are also aware that it is only how you feel, and not an accurate reflection of what is happening in the game. 90% of the playerbase are bad at crucible. 9% are decent. 1% is good. You are not being matchmade exclusively against the top 1%. Most of your matches are against >1.0 players, with a handful of <1.0 players. Keep in mind please that having a KD as low as 1.4, still puts you in the top 18% of the playerbase.

1 ReplyPvp is dead Just played a match for a daily bounty. I wonder if I actually get any kills legitimately, or do I also lag like 75% of the opposing team? Pvp is dead, and some how make apex severs look amazing… At least apex makes millions off of lucrative skin sales… Destiny needs to make a whole pve DLC to make less than half of what apex makes on 4 new skins….
-
That's why I haven't bothered with it since the first week it came back. Bungie can't seem to get their sh-t in order.
-
It’s beyond bad. The solos should match other solos. The sweat stacks match other sweat stacks. Very few matches felt very competitive. It was either we got stomped or I was good enough to essentially 1v3 the match.
-
3 RepliesThats the result of Bungie helping out streamers with their carry offers once more. Matchmaking almost enforces solos to exclusively get matched against 3-stacks. The person in charge at Bungie who decided to absolute -blam!- solo players with this algorythm hopefully steps on a lego when he least expects it.
