Honestly I hated Foresaken but with the news that its going to be vaulted leaves me with an odd feeling. I played destiny basically since it had launched and ever since been a long time fan. But with them vaulting so much content it leaves me feeling empty. I honestly believe that they should've made a destiny 3 instead of beyond light, (just make beyond light destiny 3). The reason for it is that destiny 2 just doesn't feel fresh or fun anymore. I haven't be able to sit through a raid since Levi. I feel like the raids lack any replay ability. The raids hardly give any worth while rewards or any challenge after the first week of it being out. Destiny 1 raids were so much fun, even Crota had replay-ability to it. And also since Bungie left Activision I feel like Bungie would've actually made destiny 3 replay-able and not stale after a month of playing like destiny 2. This is just my opinion and how I feel like they are making a mistake by not making a destiny 3.

Ppl are definitely going to complain if they wipe and make D3 and then they slowly bring back old stuff and say what’s even the point. Just keep D2 lol
-
Though a reset starting again in D3 sounds nice, I’d hate to lose all the stuff I’ve got in the many years of playing D2.
-
Abandoning D2 and making D3 is not going to fix a damn thing, and we really wish you kids would get that dug into your skull..
-
If you don't know they did had a destiny three in development and they decided to stop... there was even a few occasions where Luke Smith said that Destiny 3 was in development if you didn't noticed they decided to cancel development right after Activision left.. just speculation I don't think they have enough money or staff to continue development for Destiny 3 I think they decided to continue to expand Destiny 2 with old content from Destiny 1 because they know they need to spend some time to build up their company as independent brand before they decide to do a sequel.. Bungie had enough money to make big content we wouldn't be seeing easy made seasonal content.. just look at Festival of the Lost Jurassic green pulse rifle is a returning Destiny 2 weapon.. haunted lost sectors are just reskinned Lost sectors

Edited by Freak: 10/13/2021 7:01:12 AMWe’re playing D3 in D2.
-
They stated a hood while back that d3 ain’t happening If it did we’d have a d2 vanilla all over again losing all we gained and having to start from the bottom
-
Make a D3, everyone and their mother will buy it. Plus we can continue this story for the next gen system.
-
We have 3 more annual expansions. 4 years from now is the earliest that D3 will release (if ever).
-
17 RepliesShould've made the poll past tense. Say that cause we are getting d3 stuff right now. Beyond light thru light fall was supposed to be d3. Now, would I have rather gotten it in a new game (d3) instead of forcing it into d2? Yes.
-
1 ReplyDestiny 3 would hardly be any more fresh. They're quite literally adding everything to D2 that would have otherwise been in D3 and possibly more, since they don't have to split time between two games. D3 would have been an empty wasteland on launch, just like D2 was. And you wouldn't have good weapons.
-
1 ReplyNone of the above. They should hand this game over to a studio that can handle the game, and have the manpower working on it as it deserves, because Bungie cant provide either.
-
1 ReplyVOG and DSC are more rewarding than any D1 raid ,they throw loot at you at every turn , and in D1 we don't have Dungeons, there are still aspects of D1 I like better , like the art style , but D2 has really improved from what it used to be Asking them to start from scratch to make a other sequel would just be asking for disappointment, they don't need to make that mistake again
-
Destiny 2 gets better and better as more gets added to it. There’s no way D3 would be anything as good as what we have now unless we went years without any for of content.
-
I think they should stick with Destiny 2 + expansions. Actually, I think they should have stuck with Destiny 1 + expansions, but that ship has sailed. You can support a resolution via expansion, you can even require a current gen console via expansion. There is nothing they can do with Destiny 3 that they can’t do with an expansion. It would only fracture the player base more. JMO.
-
What makes you think that a studio that is so crunched for time and manpower that they killed a major character in a story on their website would be capable of bringing forth something worthy of being called Destiny 3?
-
They should just make a 3. The performance of the game deteriorates every single season. This game doesn't even support DLSS or Ray Tracing. 2021 and Bungie devs can't even give us DLSS...

Edited by Chucky: 10/12/2021 8:27:12 PMI want a destiny 3 but I expect them to butcher it if they did, so this is a toughie.

Edited by COMBATICUS: 10/12/2021 8:00:17 PMLook at it this way, if they cant get d2 right what makes you think we need d3? They need a major upgrade on their engine , they need to fix alot of things, 1 of focusing on pvp abit and actually giving it some life. And pve activities like strike needs its strike specific loots. Theres too many to mention but if they cant get d2 right then d3 is out of the question imo
