[BNG] S15 Windows 7 Launch Issues - Updated 9/16

Since the launch of Season of the Lost, players on Windows 7 haven't been able to launch the game.   • Has anybody tried installing on external hdd on windows 10 and plug in to your main setup to see if it might “fool” the BE software? I’m think about giving it a try since I’ve got two

  • I can't believe the amount of babies crying about not being able to play one game for 2 weeks and threatening to stop playing destiny 2. I'm about as impatient as them, but it's not a reason to cry. Though a refund for those who bought the season pass would be nice

    • This is really too much, school is starting soon and i wont be able to play destiny as much as now. Its taking too long for fixing this... just imagine how much good items i missed, cmoon.

      • The textures of the players, namely the players, are not loaded! they are simply transparent! The NPCs and the environment are fine, but with the players just going on the game, yesterday I played against the ghosts for 10 minutes in the crucible! At the beginning of the season, everything was fine

      • Finally, thank you for clarifying this, I will delete those files and patiently wait, I really do hope for the best since I played with the fix for about 2-3 hours, it would be a tragedy for me to get banned but at least we now have a concrete answer.

      • ohhh, now that's an answer, I've removed the two DLLs and waiting for the much-acclaimed fix, I don't want to be banned too, even though the reason might be controversial, I did it because I have a clan to take care of and friends to help. I really can't wait to play this season, I hope the fix comes soon. Good luck.

        • I think you all who’s downloading these files by yourselves should be extremely careful. By adding these files yourself which are not in the actual “release” by bungie, i fear a ban might come for you when they actually fix this issue and find those files in your game/on your pc. Big chance battleye can react on that as a “cheating” file and wrongfully ban too. And then we have the fact that DLL files can be corrupted and still pass through as ok when you scan them and that’s a big risk itself. I’m going to wait until they fix this issue themselves even if it sucks soooo bad to wait this long. But I’m not gonna risk anything.

              This issue and thread is about win7, 8, and 10 users not being able to [b]load[/b] the game. It is [b]not[/b] about people crashing or freezing ingame. If you are crashing and freezing you need to collect as much info as you can and make your own thread.

              • Hello, bunjie. I have found a fix for it. Turns out all you have to do is have the latest Microsoft redistribute installed. It solved my problem.

                • Today's patch got my hopes up since I didn't read the notes. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)..." still persists , so yeah.

For those of you who would swap to Win 10 but are prevented due to the cost, you might try [url=https://www.howtogeek.com/509087/how-to-upgrade-from-windows-7-to-windows-10-for-free/]this option[/url]. I did it yesterday and it worked fine, still 100% free. The software for my RAID controller doesn't work anymore, but Destiny 2 does. Just wanted you to know that you do have options, if the cost is your barrier.
