Heir apparent is broken change my mind?
Seriously change my mind it has no place being in the crucible. An unbreakable over shield on an MG. If anyone has any tips on how to break the shield please let me know.

It’s an exotic heavy weapon, of course it is gonna be powerful. Just don’t let them get heavy or run away

Here are your options. Super them, freeze them, and or hit them with Heavy ammo. Heir Apparent isn't OP since it can get between 1-3 kills with 1 brick and its all single point damage. It literally only accels at keeping you alive as you have to wind it up to get the shield and you are limited on movement. It is hyper annoying but Truth and Wardcliff blow it out of the water. Best way to beat them is to just make them waste their ammo or use your super to stop them. If not you kinda gotta use an Arc Special like Salvagers Salvo

With heir apparent, they are limited to movement so be agile and use a arc weapon Or get riddled by bullets

1 ReplyI love how these non pvp guys are saying to use arc damage. They clearly have no idea how the catalyst completely negates that weakness. Its literally impossible to beat with any weapon, players have to use stasis abilities or an arc super to take it down. But hey what do we pvp guys know? Guess we are just bad lol

Arc Fusion Rifles. Even with the Catalyst, they can destroy it in one hit. Exile's Curse, Plug One, Main Ingredient, Techeun Force and Hollow Words all deal Arc damage and aren't Sunset, so there's no shortage of them.

Stasis or a super is really the only guaranteed counter

not really you have about a second to start spinning up before you get the shield plus you have to have your normal health all healed up before you can get the shield

Shield is not unbreakable even with the catalyst. Bastion 1 burst the shield in IB supers especially arc supers can destroy it. Or or how about stop trying to take on the threat by yourself ?

Besides arc damage and supers? Avoid it.

Treat it like a super. By yourself? Run. With teammates nearby? Tag it and hide, repeatedly. You'll either whittle the shield down and kill them, or they'll get split between all the targets popping in and out of cover from different angles and run out of ammo, THEN you'll kill them. Or you could run an arc gl, or a few other guns... It is not unbeatable. Annoying? Sure. But so is anything shooting me. So it's whatever.

It is definitely busted with the catalyst. An arc aggressive sniper only does 40 damage to it. Iirc it has 100 hp. So it will take 3 shots to bust it. Its dumb and should be tuned.
