16 RepliesIt’s the community tbh. You have players that just want to have fun, bc this is a video game after all And then you have the get good crowd where this game is their life, and they are ruining it. Toxic community

13 RepliesThe fact that i can't even play the base campaign this game released with is fuhckin criminal. No excuse.

4 RepliesEdited by AbsolutZeroGI: 5/25/2021 9:05:27 PMYTers spend more time writing catchy lines than they do interacting with the player base. They're just like Bungo, out of touch and in their own bubble. The reason is because any change that will benefit new players will draw ire from streamers and hardcore sweats. The actual issue with this game is community and progression. Bungo fostered a community of try hards who don't want to try hard and then made a game where new players are immediately tossed into the deep end without a life jacket. That's why every pvp mode, including comp and trials, is CBMM (yes it is, if it weren't, then people who haven't gone flawless wouldn't face people who have. Same with comp). That's what the sweats want so they can farm nooblets, pad KD spreads, and make YT clip videos of them being fake good. Then, endgame PvE is basically "oh you finished the super easy story that didn't teach you anything about how endgame actually works, so now go do the literal hardest crap in the game". This game is absurdly bad at giving players a chance to be new and then progress to endgame in any capacity. You can open this game, spend 4 hours getting through a campaign, and then immediately be thrust upon with "now do the raid" or "now do the GM" or "enjoy facing our most toxic players in pvp every game". And when those players say "this sucks", this trash community responds with "get gud" or, hilariously enough, "uninstall the game then, we don't want you here." YTers absolutely buy into that culture, and are among the chief reasons why it happens. You ever see streamers dedicate any time to helping people? Rarely, if ever. They're in their own little corners trying to look cool and make money, they're not helping or representing the community at all. It sucks to be honest, and it chases away a lot of people. Unfortunately, every time Bungo takes a step to add progression, the toxic try hards whine about it because they all hate playing with each other in pvp, and then ONLY play with each other in raids, and then can't figure out why everybody except for them is miserable. If you're not lucky enough to find a good, casual pve clan, you have fun in this game for about 10 hours, and then you're just fodder for pvp sweats and have nobody to teach or even do endgame content. Good luck finding a raid party with 0 clears posting on LFG. I find those people when I have time, but with the grind of the game and life, that's happening less and less often. Fix the community, add progression, lower the grind (so experienced players have more time for helping if they want to), reward people for helping (emblems, maybe an extra pinnacle engram at the end of a sherpa raid run), and that fixes the problem. No other way will work.

44 RepliesMore people play PVE than PVP. There are more PVE activities than PVP. Patches that benefit PVE affect the majority, so I’d more important. People who play PVE cry less online. The people who post online are the loud 1% of the community.

1 ReplyUnfortunately that's probably not going to happen, as long as they can make $ from people willing to throw cash at their screens then they'll just continue on as normal.

24 RepliesEdited by Dirty8Speciall: 5/25/2021 1:51:43 AM22M tracked players, 1.2M active players, they've already pushed away 95% of the players. (and I know we can argue semantics, but even if you get it down to 80% somehow are you really supporting the argument to the contrary?) My friends list tells the same tale, 120 destiny friends, 8 active. Normal people quit this game a long time ago, I don't know what the hell is wrong with me. (but I fully admit there's something) Edit: I thought about the obvious, every game loses players response the second after I posted this.

8 RepliesEdited by SoulClaw: 5/25/2021 2:20:37 PMI see a weird pattern. Destiny is the ONLY game, were the addicted playerbase finds excuses to justify what Bungie does with the VOC etc. The excuse because it takes too much space of your harddisk is just pathetic If they are going to vault Forsaken and the dreaming City, i want every penny back I paid for the game tbh This shit all because they made it free really starting to hate this company Like every expansion you are going to buy, will never be yours cause you never have the guarantee how long you can play it cause they might just lock it away? Never again, I won´t support that anymore

4 RepliesOne of the things I've noticed since... I think Shadowkeep, maybe? Is that very hardly I'd reccomend Destiny 2 to someone. If it wasn't for the F2P portion of the game that can be used to try it, I really wouldn't say to someone: "Yeah, you should try it". This was different with D1. I can't figure out exactly what is changed, maybe because now the game is really too big, there's really too much stuff, I don't know. I'm like... if a new player should start now, it would basically pass like a first 2-3 months maybe trying to catch up with all the things happened, trying to get a good equipment, weapons ecc and then it could actually start to enjoy the game in its full potential. Like, everything in the middle since that point could actually just be boring for how the game is designed with Pinnacles, weekly Activties ecc. I don't know, maybe it's just me, maybe I'm watching things from the wrong perspective. Also, this is not only a Destiny 2 problem. I see other games with the same issue like Warframe maybe.

Too bad too many either don't care or are blindly led into enabling continued withdrawal of integrity to where they can literally do whatever they want and still succeed. Freaking sad.

1 ReplySo true, I’ve not been back and have uninstalled the game. Not remotely missing it:

5 Replies🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I’m actually still only playing because I’ve paid for this content. They will not be getting anymore money from me until they earn it

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
I bought the Beyond Light digital deluxe on Playstation and PC. I didn't play much last season (got slightly past season rank 100) and have barely even logged in this season. I've been pushed so far off the game that I can't even be bothered playing something I've already paid for and decided to just cut my losses. -
-
Just. This.
-
You can’t even go back and play past seasons. I missed the season with the return of Saint 14 and thought I could go back and play nope I was denied smh.
-
The playerbase is heavily based on RNG like the actual game. And it seems the current community role is No Life, Git Gud, Sweat, and RNG = Skill. That last perk is completely ruining endgame PvE.
-
1 ReplyTrust me. The Destiny franchise to the overall gaming community is a joke.
-
Well if you wanna look at it this way; at the start there was me and three of my close friends actually playing this game. I’m the last still playing. That’s a 75% loss just between the 4 of us and I don’t play all the time anymore so. We use to damn near live on this game. Bungie’s decision making has ran all of them off. It had zero to do with outside the game issues. They said it was ALL Bungie and what they were doing to the game.
-
well they came out last week with there yearly 'we will do better' speech the road to witch queen. but failed to address the crooked transmog system (apart from dmg04 saying there looking at it) and other issues with the game. But players fail for this and will think Bungie will correct everything. truth is they will just put a lick of paint over everything and charge you full price again and the game will be full micro transactions and other crooked ways to get players part with there cash

4 RepliesA company with a franchise in its 7th year & three more years of content already planned doesn't need to worry about losing players, but I'm sure some nobody blogger has them shaking in their boots.
-
14 RepliesThis game has pushed me away because they are going to vault every DLC that is current at some point just to bring in new DLC's which is why I am not getting Shadowkeep or Beyond Light and waste my money on things that are just going to be soon vaulted. It's been said that Forsaken has been confirmed to be vaulted soon which was the last and my favorite one.

Haha burn!

2 RepliesEdited by A_mo: 5/24/2021 11:37:21 PMIB today felt like someone was trying to push me out of that. That's for sure. I just had the animation from a grenade that does not stick to you stick to me when I wasn't anywhere near the grenade and follow me until it killed me. Is the population pahlummetingz or something? Did people get pushed out of that?

1 ReplyI just find it funny how Bungie made all these new mechanics to VOG, but they didn't fix pushing Atheon off the cliff. One of the first game breaking bug in the franchise, and they left it in.
-
Yeah I think they’re fine

12 RepliesIdeally, yes, Bungie should be more focused on improving the average player's experience with the game (especially in PvP) than on fixing cheese in a raid. Understandably though, they didn't want a cheese strat to dominate the Day 1 raid experience.
