his is the kind of match where you put down your controller, and say "This is not fun". Then you shut off your console for the night. I was impressed with my team for not quitting, for just running in there and fighting, against a six-stack who were there to mercy noobs. You turned around and there was a guy running up behind you with an smg, while you were trying to contend with his buddy with an adept messenger across the map. I was impressed that we weren't mercied- and then we were. Can a six-stack of elite PvP players not get matched against average to below-average players? Maybe it's not possible, but this kind of match is what makes you decide to stop playing the game. Just some feedback.
I feel bad for each and every one of my teammates.

A lot of people on next gen are stacking to avoid the next gen matchmaking which has some of the drawbacks of sbmm. I personally don't stack in control even though I'm on ps5. I did try on 2 occasions but it feels a bit bad destroying solo players. Im pro cbmm all the way but I would not stack in control unless needed for an in game requirement.

26 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 5/7/2021 2:35:39 PMYeah...but CBMM is **good** for the game..... How will new players ever get better unless they get roflstomped at regular intervals by players they don't have a snowball's chance of competing with?? THAT game is an example of everything that is wrong with Destiny PVP right now. Its puts to the lie all the excuses used to defend this nonsense....and its why I stopped playing. Being on the receiving end of that is uncalled for... its not fun...its not instructive....and it is INCREDIBLY disrespectful to the time, energy and money your customers are investing in your game. This nonsense is why Trials is dying..... ...again.

6 RepliesWait how did you guys capture more zones but still lose? They literally only captured 1 zone and your team captured at least 2-3

2 RepliesWhen playing solo you MUST monitor the roster. There is no other way to ensure that you MIGHT have a good experience regardless of whether you win or lose. Bungie's matchmaking algorithm is BS. Some may try to tell you that the quantity of players is low right now, and this too is BS. I have been reading the same excuse every week since Y1 of D1. The root cause is Bungie. Their algorithm even puts multiple pre-made teams against all solo players. This almost always results in a predetermined outcome: a loss for the team with solo players. Having played more than 41,000 matches, I must reiterate that you monitor the roster. If you see a 4, 5, or 6 stack, multiple Unbrokens, multiple Flawless Trials emblems, or other disconcerting signals, then get out -- preferably before the match has begun.

Edited by H1vac: 5/9/2021 12:20:04 AMI see a three stack (unless you mean fireteamed), but other than that...looks like pvp. I usually play pve obviously but scores like that happen every now and then. Not too frequent I don’t think.
-
I’d rather wait a couple more minutes in SBMM then having to go through that kind of match. But then again regardless of what system Bungie implements there will be games like this.
-
That's my experience each and every map and I'm an ok player with my moments I do very good and still get mercied. Oh well... Bungie is listening and taking our feed back 😆
-
Ah yes, a kill squad whose sole purpose is to build k/d. Ran into them here and there. I usually get bagged by them too. Mainly because I’ll pull out a fusion, hide and camp kill any that come near. They don’t like that. Still have a bad game but not as bad that way. Never fun against those teams.

12 RepliesOuch 😬 Scratch up yet another victory for CBMM because apparently it's so much better than being put up against people of similar skill 🙄 Grats for not leaving though, can't say I would have done the same.

Dyspo, supernoob and ikelos are all stat farmers who can never play the game without a 6 stack, buncha egotistical asshats that can't win a 1v1 so they sit there and circle jerk like that

Edited by A_mo: 5/8/2021 12:56:35 PMThe biggest problem that I have with posts like this is that everyone pretends like any of that was real. The fact of the matter is that in Destiny if you have someone finishing with a 33 K/D, which we have all had something like that happen to us and for us before, then 99% of the time the match was fake fakery period. That's the most important thing to take away from that picture. When you shot that guy he simply didn't take damage. None of that was real. Don't pretend like it is or the real issues don't get solved. 3 and half years of this with people not even confronting the real issue. Here, how bout this? You could have switched between teams (first to first, second to second, etc.) peoples' accounts in that match and the same accounts that won would have won regardless of the human being playing on them.

Why not? Like, what's the big deal? Sometimes you get absolutely annihilated, and some times you do the annihilating. Lol It's all in good fun. Been the way it is for the last couple of decades in fps games. If badly losing 1 game is so painful for you, idk what else to say

Edited by GMDeece7: 5/8/2021 7:30:03 AMAren’t those guys on Xbox? I think I seem to remember some of the group before threatening to torture and murder me and my loved ones and then selling our organs for profit just for ending one of their guys streaks.

2 RepliesYeah I was playing PvP last night and it took me nearly a dozen matches to NOT get matched against a gilded flawless player. I don’t understand how that’s even possible (and I also left the lobby after every match)
-
It's been like that all week! I've been mostly stomped by stacks. Kudos to those who don't quit! It's a good opportunity to experiment but bad for stats. I accidently infused salvagers salvo so I'm trying out deafening whisper. Now I'm learning to be more aggressive. Since it's nearing the end of the season people are playing less so it'll be harder to find a fair match anyway.
-
Atleast your team got to 40. I had 5 laggy matches in a row of 90 something to 7 or 6
-
I really wanna upvote but can’t for two personal reasons/opinions. 1. I get it sucks but honestly if they simply added a variety of maps I think that would help some(obviously not saying that’s why six stacks stomp) 2. Personally I get absolutely decimated and destroyed whether it’s SBMM or CBMM so I’m sorta done caring what Bungie does to the system.
-
It sucks but it happens from time to time. You just have to shake it off, take a break. I agree it's not fun, but it's not something that happens very often.
-
4 RepliesYes that type of match absolutely should happen. It's casual pvp. Not a competitive mode. Go play the competitive modes if you are after competitive matchmaking
-
That was fixed with sbmm but everybody whined and complained you wont win on that one neither will bungie
-
"Skill based matchmaking is bad" A pox on the houses of anyone who has uttered these words.

3 RepliesYou should try to kill your opponents more. Killing your opponents generates score, and score wins you the match. It has a double dip effect well, as your enemies can’t kill YOU when they’re dead, stopping your opponents from generating score themselves.
-
Its just the way it is man bungie's gonna pander to the groups that bring them clout. It is funny how they chose to sweat matches under sb but yet they now can supposedly play as they "like" with cbmm in affect. The fact is they just wanted an easier time against less skilled players.

That sucks but lmao
