After seven years of playing Destiny the lack of loot generosity in today's end game level activities, from a critical standpoint, is bad. I understand there has to be this propensity to keep players invested in your game Bungie, but why can't we be rewarded for our time. I'm mostly referring to those moments when you don't earn an exotic from a Legendary Lost Sectors or an adept weapon from a Grand Master Nightfall and Trials of Osiris. This extends to anything that releases in the future.
Loot shouldn't be this stingy. I play the game to have fun and to challenge myself from time to time. The activities I've already mentioned are generally challenging and there should always be something to reward us for our time, every time. Most of us have so many hours to sink into this game. I for one am holding you to your language in Destiny Update 2021. Our time should be respected!

Because they've been working on their "new game" - which will just be the Fallen in shorts - for around four years, Bungie is the only studio that could make Activision look smart for getting rid of them lol.

Rewards are inversely proportional to player base.

In D1 the loot drops felt amazing. Now though, they seem to drop to often IMHO.

Easy. 1. Low drop rates for certain things that people want and have to grind for. 2. Those said drops having a very few select good perks, a handful of mediocore perks, and a bunch of shit perks.

1 Replybecause its just a loot grind. which is endless.

4 RepliesBecause Bungie’s Investment Team are not very good at their jobs, and are clinging to a paradigm (stinginess promotes longer player engagement) that the industry is moving away from, but Bungie stubbornly has to do things their way. So the game doesn’t have enough loot, doesn’t have the means (for now) to make enough...so Bungie relies on stinginess and a broken, and RNG-based progression system to keep us playing. At the price of a player base that feels exhausted, angry and disrespected rather than rewarded.

3 RepliesAgree. I am not going to play GM's until Adepts are an guarantee drop. For my skillset they take to much time to play them and maybe getting nothing in the end. On other Activities I play usually for pinnacles or a specific item like in a quest. Sucks already to get so many useless pinnacles but torturing myself through a gm which is no fun for me at all and maybe getting nothing in the end. No way.

My only issue is RNG Exotics from endgame activities. It's just downright disrespectful to a player's efforts to force them to run potentially 30+ raids and a zillion lost sectors. Being able to get Malice and OG Outbreak by way of quest was amazing. Their decision to lock exotics weapon behind pure chance again killed my enthusiasm for raiding in D2. Thankfully the lore and seasonal content have improved. I would have quit after Y2 if I'm being totally honest.

Feels great for me after sunsetting was removed.

1 ReplyIf you think Destiny is stingy with loot, you never played game with actually stingy loot.

12 RepliesIts fine the way it is. People wont be happy until every clear gives them and adapt god roll weapon. Its a looter shooter with grind. Its doing exactly what its meant to be doing.
