Can someone explain Siva to me?
Title. I keep reading about how everyone wants season of the plague with a Siva darkness subclass. Please explain Siva to me. Thanks

They are nanomachines that can break stuff down and...make something new with it, make it better. I am surprised people really haven't put the game together...the actual game. Maybe some are playing the ignorance card, maybe some are just focused on the immediate story (which still tries to tell the player what the game actually is...shit it's even in the meaning behind the title). Anyways, it's going to happen...it should actually be one of the last enemies, the actual threat to freewill existence. There is a reason it was called wrath of the machine, there is a reason the vex don't look at time how we do, there is a reason they touch on the evolution of the END. This one is the entire Rise of Iron campaign if you were interested. The entire story on Siva and how we destroyed it back in D1. Its lengthy because it is pretty much uncut minus all of the trips to the tower and Iron Temple. You ever seen Big Hero 6? Know the nonbots Hiro creates? Siva is somewhat similar. Only that Siva is an AI nanotech which can be used to create basically any kind of structure or instrument, when given the command. It also has the ability to natural consume resources from it's surrounding to build. It was used to build colonies on other planets during the Golden Age. It was also primarily controlled by Rasputin and his sub minds. It got a bad name during the age of the Iron Lord when Rasputin used it to kill the Iron Lords. He was angered by the fact that his "son" the Exo Felwinter had been resurrected as a guardian and was no longer a part of of Rasputin. He lured the Iron Lords in with the romise using Siva for good but tricked them; killing all the Iron Lords except Saladin and Efrideet. Later during the Rise of Iron expansion of D1, the house of Devils Eliksni used Siva to augment themselves. We later defeated them along with the "zombie" guardians who were controlled by Siva.

5 Replies<SIVA is a powerless self-replicating nanotechnology developed by Wilhelmina Bray to help colonization efforts. The Exodus Program eventually took notice and wanted to apply it for more military purposes but ultimately any projects with it went nowhere as the Collapse hit. Rasputin used SIVA to take down the Iron Lords that breached the Replication Chamber, killing all but Lord Saladin. Since then, SIVA's programming of Replicate/Eliminate/Immunize was corrupted over time, leading to ~consume, enhance, replicate~, the infamous programming that overtook the minds of the Devil Splicers when they introduced it to their bodies. Since the Replication Chamber and Perfection Complex were shut down, SIVA has lost the ability to act on a mass scale, but individual nodes can still create batches of SIVA. One of these was made into the Outbreak Prime/Perfected. There's also small hints that SIVA has a limited intelligence, but it's just that, limited.>

Even entire cities is seconds. (The exodus colony ships that were launched during the Collapse were loaded with Siva instead of actual tools or building materials). It also can infect beings and is known as a nanoplague. It is without a doubt the most powerful weapon humanity has created.

Siva are nanites. Designed in the golden age to make colonization easier. There were multiple exodus ships with siva sent out. During the dark age the iron lords sought out the siva replication chamber in an attempt to use it for rebuilding the last city. However siva’s programming of consume, enhance, replicate; caused it to begin fusing with the iron lords taking over there bodies. Few iron lords made it out alive one of them being Saladin. He sealed the chamber and siva was dormant for a time. Eventually the fallen discovered siva and the splicers fused themselves with it. During the rise of iron destiny 1 dlc we fought the splicers and their archon. And we also laid the iron lords in the replication chamber to rest.
