I have mixed feelings with sunset gear, BUT THIS ENTIRE COMMUNITY, for a month.....CLEARLY and CONSISTENTLY stated their contempt and dislike for sunsetting. Not ONE WORD about it. This will absolutely make players feel like you don’t give a damn. SUNSETTING MUST BE ADDRESSED BC YOUR PLAYER BASE ASKS IT OF YOU. SUNSETTING MUST BE ADDRESSED, YOUR PLAYERS ASK IT OF YOU. BE PROFESSIONAL Bungie, and show a little respect. The fact that the largest outcry from the community was not addressed, is disrespectful. Thank you and Welcome Back. Edit: Re-issuing is not addressing SUNSET gear (weapons/armor) as whole. Address Sunsetting as a whole in response to your player base.

Man I called it, these past couple seasons Bungie has launched have just been tests for them to see how much money they could make by doing as little amount of work as possible and they just keep pushing that limit every season. It’s like the plan is to only now reissue old gear to get all the new players excited about gear they weren’t around for.

Yes, I know sunsetting wasn't mentioned in the TWAB, but the fact that you are bringing Moon and Dreaming City weapons back coincides with it. We need to sunset our wallets (purses), and time and effort as well. Bringing back the VERY SAME weapons you just sunset, at a HIGHER level, with BS perks? That's just dirty, and lazy. Very disrespectful to our time.

Very, very sad. Destiny could easily be a top 4 most played console game, but it became a weird double A space shooter with zero meaning....

1 ReplyAbsolute clown show. I [b]already[/b] had a full set of Dreambane armor that was masterworked with high-stat rolls that I grinded untold hours to get. I [b]already[/b] had a godrolled Premonition that I loved using in PVP. You took it all away when you sunset the Moon, and don't give me that bull about how I can still use it in pointless activities that don't matter. I was skeptical about sunsetting, but I figured I'd give you guys a chance to prove yourselves and implement new weapons and armor that would make me want to chase them. Even porting over old guns from D1 would have been something kind of new to chase, but instead, you reissue the gear that you just took away. To add insult to injury, you don't even update the power cap on the old weapons, you expect us to just do it all again. Might as well wipe our accounts and have us start from zero each season, it would be more convenient for you. Wipe all my triumphs and my collections while you're at it, because apparently having to do everything over again is exciting new content.

1 ReplyEdited by Fibby: 1/19/2021 1:53:47 PMI can’t be bothered grinding for gear i already got 1 or 2 years ago depending on the location, the re-issuing is terrible. For the Dreaming City armor this is already the third time you have to get the gear since you introduced armor 2.0 and made the old ones obsolete. It’s quite obvious the whole power creep thing was an excuse, and that sunsetting exists so that you guys can spend less time working on this game while focusing on your new IP, and just recycle the same old stuff while trying to milk money out of this game with minimal effort. The game is a looter shooter without the loot, and so much of the ”new” stuff you introduce is something we had in D1. You also managed to ruin pvp with stasis on top of the usual P2P-related issues that it has always had (and is often bad enough to ruin the experience without all the unbalanced freezing abilities), so basically most if not all aspects of the game are in a poor state. For the most part, all there is to do is to complete bounties and grind for meaningless power levels season after season, all while dealing with a terrible pinnacle system that has no smart loot/bad luck prevention in it which often results in playsessions where you gain absolutely nothing. It is no wonder people are fed up and done with this game.
